Data Architect

Lead as Data Architect level scope to develop technology standard and governance, process specification and data/systems integration requirements.
- Define vision, strategy and principles for data management for clients.
- Develop data fabric architecture and ensuring alignment with the enterprise architecture strategies, by working closely with enterprise architect and other business stakeholders.
- Design overall data architecture and data modelling, as well as standards and processes for data governance. Experienced in data platforms, technologies, architecture frameworks, models, methodologies.
- Establish best frameworks, methods and practices for data flows, data lineage, data management, reference & static data standards, data security & ownership & access matrix, data retention, data models, data usage, data exchange in line with the client's business requirements.
- Design complex data processing pipelines in order to solve complex challenges
- Understand competitive advantages of various data technology alternatives.
- Analyze and translate the client's business requirements into architectural designs and scalable and performant technology solutions and support requirements assessment, solution and process planning, agile implementation, enterprise blueprint/architecture, prototyping, and impact analysis.
- Implement provisions and best practices to validate and record performance and data latency metrics.
- Data modelling using different schema patterns such as Star/Snowflake/DataVault in Data Warehouse or Data Mining
- Produce detailed technical design document to match the solution design specifications, governance standard and development process.
- Develop and analyze solution options based on business demand, provide comparison and recommendations on the technical integrity of the solutions, cost effectiveness and supportability that meets client requirements and industry best practices.
- Guide data engineer, and make sure the working quality of data engineer

Qualifications:

- achelor Degree of Computer Science, IT or equivalent.
- Minimum 10 years experience of IT/data project experience with at least 3 to 5 years of hands-on project solution experience in data architecture. Expert in data architecture and design, data strategy, data governance, data modelling, data security, big data management, data quality, data warehouse, business intelligence/analytics, ETL/ELT, master data management, metadata management, data cataloguing etc.
- Running Containerized ETL workflow at scale.
- At least 2 years experience with public, private/hybrid cloud technologies in implementing cloud or hybrid data architectures. Experience with Azure cloud would be preferable.
- Hands-on experience in Data Fabric or Data Mesh.
- Experience in implementing large scale enterprise data warehouse, data lake and lakehouse solutions preferably with public cloud or hybrid cloud solutions.
- Proficient in conceptual, logical, object, and relational data modelling.
- Experience with Agile software development methodologies.
- Experienced in working in a DevOps environment and familiar with DevOps tools and platforms, also experience in implementing solutions with deployments involving zero down-time.
- Experience in defining data architecture frameworks and blueprints for large scale development efforts.
- Experience in troubleshooting, identifying and tuning performance for different data related solutions, also experience in implement security best practices for data related solutions.
- Experience in handling large data volumes, streaming data and huge databases.
- Should have good experience in using NoSQL databases.
- Experience in modelling and designing databases and data solutions for Microservices based architecture.
- Preferably holding professional certifications in one or more areas not limited to BI, analytics ETL/ELT, Big Data, Data warehousing, Data Architecture, public cloud etc.
- Perform proof-of-concepts (POC) to prove out solutions and establish a core codebase ready for implementation.
- Good project management skill and experienced in managing supplier teams. Demonstrate critical thinking, team player, good interpersonal skills, ability to work individually or in a team and with other divisions, and excellent presentation skills.
