**Senior Manager/Manager, Industry Development (Engineering Cluster)**:

Working through the industry committees and other key industry players, Industry Development (ID) is closest to and understands the inner workings and needs of the industry. ID drives sectoral efforts, including identifying sectoral strengths and gaps and proposing solutions to achieve sustainable improvement in Workplace Safety & Health (WSH). ID will also collaborate and foster strong partnerships with industry stakeholders to promote WSH and drive the adoption of best practices and programmes.

**Responsibilities**:

- Foster strong partnerships and close collaboration with key industry players to understand the inner workings, needs and challenges of various sectors via industry committees, key industry leaders, companies, associations, unions, post-accident visits, etc.
- Analyse and understand emerging trends and developments that could potentially impact WSH in each sector.
- Develop sector specific strategies and plans through mapping out the efforts needed to develop each sector or area of concern. Articulate such programmes and initiatives to address WSH issues.
- Facilitate sectoral efforts and coordinate collective efforts to create sustainable improvements in WSH via industry committees.
- Provide secretariat support to the industry committees and also support in the areas of work planning and budget allocation.
- Lead the project management team in implementing and driving adoption of WSH programmes/projects.
- Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and track the progress of programmes and initiatives implementation.
- Work closely with internal departments in the development of strategy formulation as well as programme development and review.

**Job Requirements**:

- A tertiary qualification in any discipline
- Preferably at least 3 years of relevant experience in managing various stakeholders (e.g. private companies, government agencies, unions and associations) and project management experience.
- Any prior experience in these areas will be advantageous: WSH Act and its subsidiary legislations, occupational safety and health management, industrial relationship management, and Chemical Engineering
- Analytical skills to integrate and translate key information or insights into practical solutions.
- Ability to operationalise ideas and tweak along the way.
- Highly driven individual who can lead projects and be a good team player.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
