Exhibition Sales Executive/manager

The Activation Group is a leading event management company specializing in providing Events & Exhibitions services to organisations across various industries.
As part of our expansion plans, we are currently seeking talented sales professionals with relevant experience in the MICE Industry to join our dynamic team and contribute to the success of our projects.
**Position Overview**:
**Responsibilities**:
Sales Strategy and Execution:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve exhibition sales targets.
- Identify and target potential clients through market research, industry analysis, and networking.
- Conduct proactive outbound sales activities, including cold calling, onsite marketing and face-to-face meetings, to generate leads and secure contracts.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of clients/leads, managing the sales cycle from initial contact to contract signing and post-event follow-up.
Relationship Management:
- Establish and nurture relationships with new clients, ensuring their satisfaction, engagement, and repeat business.
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients, addressing their inquiries and offering personalized solutions to meet their specific needs.
- Collaborate closely with the operations team to ensure seamless execution of clients’ requirements and deliver exceptional customer service.
Market Research and Analysis:
- Stay abreast of industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to identify new sales opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.
- Conduct market research and gather insights to understand exhibitors’ preferences, pricing trends, and emerging industry demands.
- Regularly analyze sales data, track performance metrics, and prepare reports for management, providing actionable recommendations for improvement.
Collaboration and Teamwork:
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including design, marketing, operations, and finance, to align sales efforts, drive revenue growth, and ensure the overall success of the division.
- Participate in WIP meetings to contribute insights and suggestions for enhancing exhibitor experiences and maximizing sales opportunities.
- Actively participate in industry events, conferences, and exhibitions to represent the company and build a strong professional network.
**Requirements**:
- Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Events Management, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in exhibition sales or event sales, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Deep understanding of the exhibition industry, including knowledge of key players, industry trends, and best practices.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate the value proposition of exhibitions and sponsorship opportunities.
- Results-oriented mindset, with a drive for sales success and a proactive approach to identifying and capitalizing on opportunities.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite of software.
Others:
- Remuneration will commensurate with experience.
- As this is a ‘hunter’ role, successful applicants can expect commissions on top of the basic salary.
