Events Manager

**Job Overview**:
As an Events Manager (contract) with Decathlon, you will play a crucial role in the successful planning and execution of a large-scale sports day event, overseeing the entire process from pre-event preparation to post-event activities. This contract provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in events management and the sports industry.

**Responsibilities**:Before Event**:

- Identify and approach organizations for participation in the sports day event.
- Prepare comprehensive campaign briefs for each participating organization.
- Onboard partners and sponsors to enhance the success of the event.
- Build a detailed budget for the entire event, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
- Coordinate with various stakeholders, including communications, commercial, legal, finance, and partners.
- Plan and execute effective communication strategies for the event.
- Develop a retro planning timeline to ensure all tasks are completed on schedule.
- Plan the schedule and logistics for the sports day.
- Manage contracts with participating organizations and vendors.

**During Event**:

- Safely and efficiently execute the sports fiesta, ensuring the well-being of the 20,000 participants over two days.

**After Event**:

- Conduct an After Action Review to assess the event's success and identify areas for improvement.
- Manage and process invoices related to the event.

- Detail-oriented with a keen eye for accuracy and precision.
- Strong planning and organizational skills to ensure a seamless event execution.
- Excellent negotiation skills to secure partnerships and manage contracts effectively.
- Good communication skills to liaise with stakeholders and participants.
- Stakeholder management expertise, collaborating with various internal and external teams.
- Experience in the sports industry would be a valuable asset.
- Previous experience in events management is advantageous.
- Effective communication and presentation skills.
- Vital, sporty, sincere, responsible, and helpful.
- Prior experience organizing similar events will be a plus

**Event Details**:

- Oversee an event with 20,000 participants spanning over two days.
- A weekend to celebrate Decathlon members through a sports fiesta in collaboration with sports partners/clubs/associations to bring the sports community together. Connecting aspiring athletes in the discovery of sports, with opportunities to join Sports Singapore Academy.
