**Job Overview**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Manage and oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the company, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions in compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and forecasts to provide meaningful insights to the management team.
- Coordinate and assist in the preparation of budgets and financial plans, monitoring performance against these targets and identifying variances.
- Participate in month-end and year-end closing processes, reconciling accounts and preparing necessary journal entries.
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial support for various projects and initiatives.
- Maintain a strong understanding of tax regulations and work closely with external partners to ensure compliance with local tax requirements.
- Play a key role in external audits, providing necessary documentation and support to auditors.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements within the finance department and implement best practices. Mentor and guide junior finance team members, fostering their professional development.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA or ACCA designation is highly preferred.
- Proven experience (5+ years) as a Senior Accountant or in a similar role, preferably within the maritime or engineering industry.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems. Experience with systems such as SAP, QuickBooks, or similar is an advantage.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide meaningful insights.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet deadlines consistently.
- Leadership skills with a track record of effectively managing teams and collaborating across departments.
- High ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive financial information. Adaptability and willingness to learn in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
