Assistant Manager, Procurement Excellence

**Main Purpose (Summary of your role)**
- Own and manage a portfolio of chemicals assigned to you.
- Take control, lead the buying initiative, influence stake holders, and decide on the best class strategy to execute raw material procurement.
- Hold tenders via SAP Ariba
- Lead all market and data analysis efforts for raw material commodities, supported by category procurement teams
- Focus on short to medium term market intelligence efforts. Not limited to but including - global S&Ds, market recap, POV weekly update for key commodities, usage of best-in-class external tools, supply and demand fundamental drivers etc
- Lead all data crunching analysis into models creation/interpretation, resulting in short/medium/long term point of views.
- Develop and maintain customised market and data analysis models for key commodities that’s purchased by the group with the ability to present complex data and information in simplified ways for stakeholders to quickly understand.
- Any other ad-hoc activities as assigned by reporting manager

**Job Requirements**
- Degree in Business Management or related field from a reputable university.
- At least 5-8 years of commodity market analysis experience

**Specific Knowledge/Skills**
- **Must have good market analysis experience in commodities.**:

- Having procurement or trading related experience would be a plus
- Data analysis tools experience like Tableau, Python, Power BI would be a plus
- Proven ability and experience in building up market analysis models from scratch - turning raw data into actionable market analysis intelligence, knowing where to find quality raw data, understanding of key price drivers for each commodity etc
- Must have ability in handling large amounts of raw data but still able to identify key actionable intelligence to focus on and able to interpret that data and convert it to actionable point of views
- Require long term strategic thinking mindset to support company’s long term goals
- Good interpersonal and communication skill to interact with different levels of people
- Good working attitude and willing to adapt to local culture and way of working
- Must have good ethics and able to conduct himself or herself honestly and with compliance
- Travelling of 10% to be expected during normal situation
