Castlery is looking for an Assistant Manager, People Operations to join our employee-centric People team
A newly created role, the Assistant Manager, People Operations will report to the Head of People and Culture and either manage or assist with coaching our existing People Operations specialists depending on their prior management experience.
This role will have a direct impact on the experience of our Castlery crew across our offices in Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, and the US, and will be a great fit for someone that is constantly looking for better, more efficient ways to ensure frictionless people operations. In addition to execution, the role will also be a key voice in iterating and improving our people policies with regards to benefits and engagement.

**What you'll be doing**
- Build a customer-centric culture committed to operational excellence and attention to detail
- Lead our People Operations team to ensure error-free execution of ongoing people processes such as payroll, leave administration, and onboarding/offboarding
- Review our existing People processes to identify opportunities for improvement, whether through process iteration, systems acquisition, or policy change
- Champion the voice of the employee
- Coach and mentor the People Operations team, ensuring their growth and development
- Partner other functions within the People team on performance and engagement initiatives
- Support the Head of People on building scalable, resilient people operations processes in Castlery
**What you'll need**
- At least three years' experience in a people operations function
- Preferably, this will include experience in a growth-stage start-up, and prior experience in a HR generalist or non-HR function
- Knowledge of the employment law in Malaysia, Australia, and/or the US will be highly advantageous
- The ability to break down complex systems and processes into individual process flows and components
- A strong attention to detail paired with a commitment to operational excellence
- Confidence communicating to large, diverse audiences, spanning different functions and seniority levels
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to get buy-in from senior leadership
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills
- IHRP-CP/SP certification is a definite plus
