The Procurement Specialist is responsible to process requisitions and purchase orders for the procurement of goods, services, and supplies for plant manufacturing use. Negotiate with suppliers for competitive prices, delivery, and quality. Manage the end-to-end procurement cycle. Monitor supplier’s performance, on-time delivery and drive for continuous improvements.

This position is part of the Materials Management team and will be located in Benoi, Singapore - Onsite.

**In this role, you will have the opportunity to**:
Responsible for the purchase of raw material parts and services from suppliers and intercompany. Manage RFQ/ PO, expediting and maintaining high OTD by suppliers. Prepare reports for management review

Work closely with all other materials team members in the plant to ensure effective tactical material execution in the plant. Drive inventory reduction and implement continuous improvement in our procurement processes

Engage with the suppliers, strategic sourcing managers, planners, and all of the supply chain to drive proper escalation and prioritization of supplier parts when there is a disruption in either supplier or internal production

Support procurement activities for new product launches or technology transfer projects from intercompany. Mitigate risk where appropriate and drive internal communication to identify areas of concern

Lead/participate in continuous improvement projects, including taking the lead as the key user in ERP implementation for the site.

**The essential requirements of the job include**:
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or Science

Min 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment

Proficiency in Microsoft 365 with advanced Excel skills

Competency in SAP or similar ERP programs

Process effective communication, analytical and strong problem-solving skills

**It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in**:
Working with Japanese companies and/or proficient in the Japanese language

Experience in managing overseas suppliers and understanding import and export processes

Quality standards, procurement policies, procedures, and best practices
