**Paperspace Role: Workplace Strategy Consultant**
Paperspace is a fast-growing company at the forefront of smart, innovative new workplace design and strategy. We are looking for a Workplace Strategy Executive to join our expanding Workplace Strategy and Change Management team.
You’re an exceptional, enthusiastic graduate with 3 - 5 years of work experience in areas that covered an understanding of workplace strategy, user experience, organisational process change, stakeholder engagement and program management.
You have a keen interest in the exciting and evolving area of workplace design and trends, workplace strategy, space utilisation and organisational behaviour. A wider understanding of the changing workplace trends and the real estate function as part of a business and workplace design process is an added advantage. You want to make a difference in the future of workplaces by understanding user behaviours, patterns and habits in a workplace, with a larger objective on improving the way people work and employee satisfaction. You want to be able to influence strategy formulation, decisions and planning areas, and being part of a dynamic and forward thinking team inspires you.
In addition, you have a think out of the box mentality, not afraid to challenge the norms and enjoy working with people. A can-do attitude and strong will for success are some of the desirable personal attributes.
**Key Responsibilities include**:
This position is part of the Workplace Strategy and Change Management team, led by Paperspace’s Director. You will be exposed to the world of workplace design and strategy, workplace culture and behaviours, change process, future workplace trends and be involved in how organisations define and plan their workplaces for the longer term. Key tasks are as follows:
1. Develop an understanding and the technical and working knowledge required for the provision of workplace strategy and change management consulting services.
2. Research-based findings are the basis of the workplace strategy consulting work. The role requires designing and conducting research via research methods such as employee/user surveys, focus groups and one-to-one interviews to understand organisation vision, culture, user behaviours, patterns and habits in a workplace, with a larger objective on improving the way people work and employee satisfaction.
3. Analyse raw data, numbers and information gathered using process and analytical skills to distil relevant research findings into meaningful information to develop recommendations.
4. Reporting on and presenting the findings from the Data Collection and Engagement Processes.
5. Understand patterns from research to develop recommendations for solutioning. Conceptual and analytical skills are key here.
6. Develop diagrams, infographics from research information to communicate key findings and recommendations.
7. Prepare presentation slides to present recommendations to senior management for decision making. Strong slide presentation skills and good communication abilities are key for this task.
8. Client engagement - liaise with stakeholders and manage expectations, guide the client team through the workplace strategy tasks and change management and communication processes.
9. Represent the Paperspace workplace strategy and change consultant team in the project team, to lead in the workplace strategy tasks and change management and communication processes.
11. Develop a background understanding of the role of workplace strategy, change and organisational behaviour in physical space and design planning for a successful and effective workplace.
**Academic Background**:
A minimum requirement of tertiary (undergraduate) qualification in either of the following areas - Strategy and Change Management, Organisational Behaviour, Business, Marketing & Communications Skills, Project/Program Management (not necessarily construction), Architecture, Interior Design, Real Estate or similar.
**Desirable Skills**
1. An interest in improving employees’ satisfaction by improving the way people work. An understanding of the organisational processes, business operations, technology, change management and the physical work environment (interior design, user experience) is advantageous.
2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, confident in organising, leading and/or facilitating workshops
3. Good EQ and social skills. Tactful, comfortable with ambiguous people issues
4. Strong slide preparation (e.g. Powerpoint; Google Slides) skills and confident in presenting to an audience
5. Presentable at Senior Level
6. Independent worker to achieve tasks as well as effective working in teams
7. Careful and detail-oriented worker, they can think both analytically and creatively.
8. Strong numerical and analytical skills and Microsoft excel / google sheets competency.
9. Good standard of written and spoken English.
