**SENIOR MANAGER / ASSISTANT DIRECTOR, COMMUNICATIONS AND ENGAGEMENT**
**UNIVERSITY OF THE ARTS SINGAPORE**

**Key Roles & Responsibilities**

To work with the University’s senior leadership (Vice-Chancellor and Chief Operating Officer) to:

- Lead, plan, develop and implement the University’s marketing communications strategy to raise the profile and brand awareness of the University and strengthen its position as a leading arts tertiary education institution in the region. This includes working with the respective vendors to initiate and produce the full spectrum of online and offline materials for marketing communications, media and brand.
- Write and develop communications material, including but not limited to media releases, social media and video content and answering media queries.
- Supports or as required to be the University’s corporate spokesperson to respond to the media and public enquiries in a timely manner.
- Initiate and/or develop and implement communications policies to enhance and improve the operational efficiency.
- Coordinate with respective AIs, as required, for joint communications/branding activities/content, to align with the overall communications strategy for UAS.
- Develops, implements, and manages the communications budget for the University.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

This role reports to Directors, Partnership and Engagement.

**Requirements**:

- Extensive experience in public relations/corporate communications, preferably in a supervisory role in an established organisation.
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, quantitative as well as written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work well independently as well as in teams within tight timelines.
- Resourceful, detailed, meticulous with a good sense of perspective and intellectual curiosity.
- Ability to identify trends and developments in higher education and the arts.
- Ability to adapt in a fast paced changing environment and willing to explore new ideas.

This is a one-year contract position with possibility to extend or convert to a permanent appointment.
