Whilst this job can be demanding, our client encourages Operations to pick up the phone and talk to customers and get out and meet them socially. Great if you are a people person and enjoy building professional / social relationships.

What you will be doing:

- Handling broker operations for tankers
- Coordinating between ship owners and charterers
- Helping to resolve problems and making sure the voyage runs smoothly whenever possible
- Checking charterparties and preparing documents, invoices etc
- You will be on call outside of office hours
- There is some socialising with customers ie going out for drinks or lunches along with the Broking team

The ideal person can be either:

- Experienced in ship broking operations
- Also open to train a Maritime Studies graduate
