**Associate General Counsel, Global Trade Compliance - Connectivity Responsibilities**:

- Structure, draft, and negotiate trade controls provisions for a broad range of agreements in support of the expansion of Meta’s network infrastructure, including joint build agreements and supply contracts for the construction of fiber-optic cable systems, dark fiber leases and IRUs, and colocation agreements.
- Counsel and advise on activities relating to U.S. and international sanctions regimes.
- Identify issues and collaborate with other internal teams (e.g., Finance, Tax, Compliance) and external counsel to structure appropriate commercial frameworks and support global network initiatives.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with key clients and cross-functional partners.
- Provide strategic trade compliance guidance to the business with respect to our approach to issues and partnerships.
- Provide solid and practical business and legal advice.
- Drive resolution of trade compliance issues in proposed projects and that arise in negotiations.
- Travel domestically and internationally as needed.

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- Law degree and practicing certificate (or equivalent) in a common law jurisdiction.
- 8+ years of attorney experience structuring, drafting, and negotiating contracts, preferably globally, at a law firm or in-house with a multinational corporation.
- Record of legal and business judgment and strategic thinking.
- Diligent, well-organized, and able to manage numerous projects simultaneously under deadline pressure.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, presentation skills, and a commitment to professionalism and collegiality.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Experience at both law firms and in-house.
- Experience handling U.S. and non-U.S. sanctions issues.
- Experience handling export and import compliance issues.
- Experience working with or in support of diverse communities.
