**MISSION OF THE DEPARTMENT**:
The Country Office Management Unit ensures high-performing WWF International Managed Country Offices deliver conservation impact by:

- Strengthening Country Offices performance at global, regional, country, project and initiative level and delivering WWF Network’s performance framework.
- Ensuring effective mechanisms are in place for Offices, Practices, Programs and Projects in relation to strategy development, planning, performance monitoring, Quality Assurance (QA), risk management, reporting, and knowledge sharing.
- Developing standards and processes for Country Offices, to improve Network effectiveness and impact.

**MAJOR FUNCTIONS**:

- Supports WWF International Managed Country Offices in Asia Pacific and the Regional Team in Asia Pacific in implementing a robust project development and Quality Assurance approach through the roll-out of Network Risk Management and Quality Assurance Standards, including developing guidance, tools and templates;
- Advises relevant focal points and teams across Asia Pacific, on the design, planning, monitoring and evaluation of projects and programmes including robust risk assessment and ESSF requirements;
- Coordinates the Quality Assurance review and approvals process for concepts, proposals, programmes, contracts, agreements and environmental and social safeguards mitigation frameworks developed and implemented in Asia Pacific;
- Coordinates with regional colleagues and offices in Asia Pacific, to gather pipeline information on proposals and landscapes to ensure there is a timely, methodic and planned approach for Quality Assurance and approvals for relevant higher risk projects and programmes;
- Coordinates with Country Offices in Asia Pacific, to support capacity building in project development and country and regional Quality Assurance processes and coordinates the design of systems and processes to ensure quality throughout the project cycle;
- Monitor and report on metrics related to programme quality in Asia Pacific.

**Major Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Monitors the quality of concepts and proposals to ensure they are well designed and meet WWF’s policies and Standards;
- Coordinates the timely integration of expert inputs into programmes under development and links teams to relevant resources to aid in programme design;
- Liaises with relevant members of the Country Management teams in Asia Pacific, Regional Leadership team and Practices to establish and manage timely inputs into projects/programmes in the Asia Pacific project/programme pipeline;
- Work with project teams to take projects/programmes and ESMFs through the full cycle of expert review and approval, including country office, regional review and, as appropriate, WWF International Quality Assurance Committee and Conservation Quality Committee;
- Ensure monitoring and support to teams so that any conditions imposed by the Committees, Donors and Network Standards are fully implemented in a timely manner;
- Supports offices in the development and implementation of robust Quality Assurance processes in the offices to ensure quality development, and approval and implementation of proposals, projects and programmes;
- Monitor and report on the delivery of quality assurance objectives/indicators;
- Coordinates closely with Head, Global Quality Assurance and the Quality Assurance Coordinator to ensure alignment of Regional Quality Assurance processes, capacity building efforts and appropriate escalation of high risk projects;
- Share and facilitate best practice and lessons learned with the support of the Head of Global Quality Assurance and with the Director, Programme Quality
- Asia Pacific;
- Performs other duties as requested by the Director, Programme Quality
- Asia Pacific, and Head, Global Quality Assurance.
