Roles & Responsibilities Position Summary: The position of Manager, Organizational Development – Asia Pacific is full-time and required to provide oversight of a portfolio of country Programs for Special Olympics in the Asia Pacific region. Their work will support the development and ongoing delivery of high-quality services for people with ID (Special Olympics athletes) via these accredited Country Programs and support both adherence to Special Olympics standards as well as continual improvement of governance and leadership at country level. The Manager will report to the Director of Organizational Development and work with different colleagues in different departments (in Asia Pacific and SOI-HQ) to develop these country programs in a seamless and integrated fashion. Disposition: Must be a self-starter who enjoys building relationships and communicating with others. We are looking for someone who is willing to stretch themselves and will enjoy working in a fast paced and fluid environment with people from a variety of diverse backgrounds. Must be organized, efficient and ready to work across multiple projects at once. To be a successful part of the team, must have a growth mindset; a genuine flair for enterprise within a social/community context, focus of impact generation and a desire to grow professionally. Primary Responsibilities: Organizational Development, Asia Pacific: · National Program relationship management: oversee the development of effective relationships with Programs. Maintain regular contact with Program leadership and staff to monitor Program plans, activities and help resolve any emerging issues. · Work closely with Program leadership to discuss Program development and fundraising opportunities and guide the Program in ensuring sustainable development. · Ensure that Programs achieve basic standards of governance and leadership quality across the Region and progress along a consistent ongoing roadmap of improvement (Program Quality Standards). · Coordinate with the Programs timely and accurate submission of annual Accreditation application, Census, Operational Plans and other recurring data requests. · Regularly assess Program efficiency, report on the health of the Programs, communicate success and challenges with the rest of the OD team and recommend appropriate actions for addressing challenges. · Work collaboratively with SOAP colleagues to provide the team with 1) insight into each Country Program’s performance, 2) guidance on Program capabilities and 3) the Program’s scope for development/growth. · Provide hands on support to Programs to submit high quality grant applications and accurate post-project reports. · Keep Program profiles updated: maintain up-to-date Program contact information, an overview of Program funding sources, and a record of previous/current partnerships. · Facilitate effective information and best practices sharing between Programs to support a culture of excellence and collaboration. · Lead planning and execution of regional events aimed at building capacity in the Program leaders. · Support research and evaluation efforts in support of Special Olympics programmatic work development. · Support other duties that may be requested from time to time Required Skills and Qualifications: Experience in the intellectual disability community and/or Special Olympics Experience working in the non-profit sector Experience of working cross culturally in the Asia Pacific region Understanding of governance and leadership within the non-profit sector Qualification in research and evaluation field Qualification in a relevant discipline such as planning, business administration, or project management Consistent and strong communication skills (written and verbal) Ability to adopt a patient, diplomatic approach and solve problems while maintaining strong work relationships with internal and external stakeholders (including professionals and volunteers) at all levels Cross cultural sensitivity and knowledge of countries in the Asia Pacific region · Strong analytical, organizational and prioritization skills Experience in grant management Minimum of 4 years work experience in the non-profit sector, preferably in a similar role Exceptional technical aptitude with all MS Office products and project management software · Positive, high energy work approach with proven ability to stay proactive and focused · Ability to work day-to-day without face-to-face on-site supervision · Ability to maintain confidentiality Capacity to travel independently both nationally and internationally, including non-traditional work hours (nights and/or weekends) where required Tell employers what skills you have Program DevelopmentLeadershipCross Cultural ManagementWork Well Under PressureFundraisingAnalytical AbilitiesRelationship ManagementAdministrationSustainable DevelopmentLeadership DevelopmentOrganizational Developmentcoordination skills
