Organization Overview Special Olympics International (SOI), headquartered in Washington, DC, is a global non-governmental organization founded on the belief that persons with intellectual disabilities learn, enjoy, and benefit from participation in year-round individual and team sports training and competition. Today, more than 6 million children and adults with intellectual disabilities participate in over 100,000 games and competitions in over 190 countries. The Asia Pacific Region consists of 35 countries from South Asia, Southeast Asia, Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific Islands. Position Summary Reporting to the Director of Inclusive Health & Advocacy, this role supports and strengthens health programming in the Asia Pacific region, builds capacity and resources to advance inclusive health, and works with external stakeholders to promote equitable access to quality health services for people with IDD. This position is ideal for someone with a strong interest in public health, inclusion, public policy and international development, who is ready to take on a hands‐on role in program coordination, partnership engagement, and grant management. Description The Manager, Inclusive Health will provide technical assistance, operational support, and stakeholder engagement to sustain and grow inclusive health efforts in Asia Pacific. The role works closely with other regional and global teams to ensure inclusive health is embedded in Special Olympics programming and adopted at the country level. Key responsibilities include: 1. Regional Support (35%)Contribute to the strategic development and growth of regional inclusive health efforts by engaging with stakeholders and participating in committees, forums, workshops, and conferences. Fulfil a full range of administrative and operational duties that work towards meeting the objectives of the Asia Pacific health team's operational plans and multiyear strategy. This primarily includes compiling reports, presentations, and proposals but also covers thought leadership and advocacy. Offer strategic and technical assistance to Special Olympics country programs to guide country-level growth of inclusive health, including assessments, monitoring, and capacity building. Coordinate events such as workshops, trainings, webinars, and summits — from planning and participant engagement to execution and evaluation. 2. Management of Grants (30%)Serve as the primary point of contact for grantees, providing technical assistance on grant systems, verifying progress, gathering success stories, and ensuring compliance with reporting requirements. Manage administrative aspects of grants and procurement agreements, including processing, tracking, and monitoring. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to establish service needs, follow up on contractual issues, and organize stakeholder meetings. Review country program reports to analyze progress against metrics and identify support needs. 3. Healthy Athletes & Partnership Management (25%)Oversee operational management of Healthy Athletes health screening programming in the region. Support program-level delivery of screenings, coordinate activities, and assist with event management as needed. Compile reports and statistics on the reach and impact of screenings. Manage and support a panel of voluntary regional health care professionals who provide clinical expertise. 4. Athlete Management – Health Messengers (10%)Manage requests for activation of Health Messengers (people with IDD who are trained to serve as health and wellness advocates and champions) in the region, following established SOI protocols. Support hosting and/or training of Health Messengers at regional and program levels. Prepare Health Messengers for participation in advocacy and thought leadership roles. Track Health Messenger data and activations. Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor's degree preferably in health sciences, public health, public policy, or related field. 3–5 years' relevant experience, including grant management; experience in resource-poor settings preferred. Strong communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively across cultures and time zones. Proficiency in Microsoft 365; willingness to travel (~4 times/year)Openness to working with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and learning about the community. #J-18808-Ljbffr
