UX/UI Designer

We are looking for an awesome UX Designer to be part of our thriving Experience team, working collaboratively with experts in Data, Content, CX and Research. You’ll be working on projects and pitches for new business as well as existing clients. You should be comfortable with UCD, participatory design and design thinking methodologies and will be able to conduct user research, synthesise insights, help run workshops and design experiences for many different audiences.

**What you’ll do**
- Provide hands-on UX expertise, leading client engagement on large UX projects
- Work independently in the development of user experience deliverables including sitemaps, user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and features and functions specifications
- Perform heuristic evaluations and competitive audits on existing websites and propose recommendations for improvement
- Partner with Consumer Research to prepare and conduct usability testing sessions as well as in-context behavioral research; Analyze, synthesize and organize research data into meaningful themes, categories, and visually compelling user models and recommendations including personas, scenarios, and storyboards
- Understand customer needs, motivations and behaviors and translate them into actionable deliverables and user experience strategy
- Work with data team to synthesize insights from website data analytics tools such as Google Analytics and other data gathering tools
- Build and maintain design systems, write UX documentation
- Collaborate with UI designers as well as frontend and backend developers to align UX feasibility and explore best-in-class UX solutions

**What you’ll need**
- Strong client-facing presentation and communication skills
- A self-starter who can self-manage as well as be a contributing member of a multi-disciplinary team
- Experience with UX planning and development; defining business and user requirements
- Familiarity with and ability to conduct UX user research and provide top-level findings
- Demonstrated experience using data and web analytics to inform design decisions
- Knowledge and passion to keep up with current UX trends
- Proficiency with wireframe software such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD and Invision
- Certificate in Human Computer Interaction (HCI) or related fields, UX-focused trainings such as certificate from General Assembly, NNG, etc
- Experience in working and communicating with website developers with a high-level understanding of end-to-end website processes
- A portfolio that showcases your UX thinking and contribution to website design and mobile app design
- Experience with Government websites will be preferred
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum set-up is an advantage
