We’re recruiting for a Client and Business Manager to join our team in Singapore on a fixed term basis (6 - 9 months dependant on business need).
In this dual role, you will support the delivery of Asia’s growth strategy by:
Providing strong Business Management support for the Asia business. This will require coordination across global locations whilst partnering with the MD Asia and Head of Client and Business Management, EMEA. Define a plan for transfer of business management support for Asia to the central Distribution Business Management team in London and lead implementation of this plan.
Leading the South East Asia & Pacific Client Relationship Management team and local relationships. Overseeing the operating model for both Asia’s institutional and wholesale channels, delivering high quality relationship management to L&G Asset Management clients and partnering with local sales teams to enhance relationships and maximise growth and revenue generation. Define and execute a plan for induction and training for the onboarding of the Client Management Director, South East Asia role.
**What you’ll be doing**:
- Continually developing, scaling, and maintaining a robust client relationship model in Singapore for both institutional and wholesale clients, collaborating closely with key stakeholders in Singapore, London, Hong Kong, and Melbourne to ensure exceptional relationship management standards are met
- Managing the Singapore client relationship team and providing a structured link between Singapore, London, and Hong Kong. Overseeing client service delivered by London and Chicago for Southeast Asia clients, developing and maintaining a market-leading client management offering, and coordinating with sales teams to ensure the successful delivery of investment analytics and business opportunities to clients. Providing client coverage during absences in the Hong Kong client management teams. Working with regional sales teams on new business opportunities to ensure client needs are being planned for and met
- Providing support on strategic planning and the execution of strategic business initiatives and approved corporate strategies (e.g., evaluating and executing partnership opportunities), the local product strategy (e.g., local registration of funds), and the annual financial/budget planning process. Supporting the MD Asia in business activities such as delivering core business processes, including the preparation of required business MI, regulatory and corporate filings, and Board reports and presentations
- Leading transition activities by defining a plan for transferring business management support for Asia to the central Distribution Business Management team in London and leading its implementation
- Defining and executing a plan for induction and training for the onboarding of the Client Management Director, Southeast Asia role
- Ensuring that an appropriate risk management framework is maintained and policies are adhered to, such that risks are identified, measured, and managed. Promoting a compliance-aware culture at all times and complying with regulatory responsibilities
- Representing L&G Asset Management in a way that promotes and enhances its corporate image and capabilities. Promoting, supporting, and role-modelling the firm’s culture and values in alignment with its ESG commitments.
