What the role is
As a part of the Healthy Food and Dining Division, you will drive strategic programmes to achieve HPB's objective of enhancing adoption of healthier eating habits of Singaporeans, through increasing the availability and accessibility of healthier food options in the food service sector and grocery channels as well as e-commerce channels. You will need to engage
various cross-functional stakeholders to design, conceptualise and implement the strategic programmes to achieve the vision of a healthy food ecosystem.
In addition, you will have to propose new ideas to address gaps and increase market share of healthier food & beverage options across all food service settings by gathering market intelligence through industry engagements, research, surveys and keep abreast of latest trends for consumers’ food consumption and purchases, food science and technology. You must possess strong project management skills, negotiation skills, be able to effect change,
garner resources, and manage people and projects.
You will develop, plan and execute Healthier Food Programme to achieve HPB’s
objective:
i) Develop national strategies, manage and implement innovative healthier food
products programmes, to help Singapore residents make healthier dietary choices by
- Engaging internal and external stakeholders to ensure the robustness of the
programmes during its programme development and design phase;
- Developing, implementing and monitoring the programmes and initiatives
through working with stakeholders to incorporate healthier food options into
their business model; and
- Establishing, monitoring and managing processes for programme review,
tracking, governance and audit to ensure its continued sustainability and
success.
ii) Work closely with food manufacturers, key channel partners and knowledge institutes to increase the supply and consumer demand of healthier food products in the marketplace
iii) Drive key projects and initiatives to effect change, garner resources, and manage people and projects to support national initiatives such as HealthierSG, corporate initiatives such as Operation excellence, customer experience and precision public health
**What you will be working on**
- Day-to-day management of Healthier Dining Programme (HDP) to ensure service level to industry and governance requirements are met
- Involved in Programme Guidelines development and review to ensure relevance to changing food science & tech and consumer preference
- Develop strategies and implement improvement plans for different F&B settings and evaluation supported by data.
**What we are looking for**
- Have proven track record in programme development and/or projects involving F&B partners; and demonstrated strong competency in project management;
- Possess excellent interpersonal & relationship building skills to maintain collaborative partnerships and communicate effectively at all levels;
- Possess strong verbal, written and presentation skills coupled with strong negotiation and influencing skills;
- Strong judgement and critical reasoning skills, with the ability to navigate new
situations;
- Creative, possess good analytical skills and yet is attentive to details.
Requirements
- Possess relevant qualifications preferably in the following discipline (e.g. Food
Nutrition, Science and Technology or any health-related discipline).
- More than 3 years of related working experience; including experience in working with diverse partners
- A good understanding of and interest in the food service landscape and/or business development field.
- Previous experience in Business Administration, Marketing and data analytics would be an added advantage.
