Job Description
- As an intern in the IT Security team, you will gain hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations and governance, contributing to the protection of our organization's information assets and enhancing your skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.
**Responsibilities**:
- Security Operations:
- Assist in monitoring and analyzing security alerts from various monitoring tools-
- Participate in the identification and investigation of security incidents and breaches-
- Support the implementation and maintenance of security measures and controls-
- Help in conducting vulnerability assessments and penetration testing-
- Aid in the documentation and reporting of security incidents and their resolutions-
- Collaborate with the IT team to ensure secure configurations and updates of systems-
- Assist in the development and deployment of security automation scripts and tools-
- Participate in regular security audits and compliance checksGovernance:
- Support the development and maintenance of security policies, procedures, and standards-
- Assist in ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices-
- Help in preparing and updating security documentation, including risk assessments and control matrices-
- Participate in security awareness training programs and initiatives-
- Aid in the review and analysis of security-related data to identify trends and potential improvements-
- Collaborate with various departments to promote a culture of security awareness and compliance-
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and evidence-
- Assist in maintaining a comprehensive inventory of information assets and associated risks**Requirements**:
- Preferred studies in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science-
- Prior experience with operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc), networking concepts, security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and antivirus software-
- Good understanding of cybersecurity principles, tools, techniques, and scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) is a plus-
- Basic knowledge in security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001), network systems, wireless technology, structured cabling system, and cybersecurity, preferably in IOT security, is advantageous-
- High level of integrity and attention to detail-
- Cybersecurity certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) are preferred-
