**Job Purpose/Background**: The role is for an Associate to join the APAC Solutions and Structuring team. Solutions is a key area of growth for BlackRock and focuses on delivering against the firm’s platform-as-a-service strategy. As a member of the team, you will be responsible for solutions business development, partnership structuring, and deal management for our APAC Wealth business.Each outsourcing opportunity is unique. Therefore, you can look forward to a multi-faceted role that allows you to develop a diverse skillset and experience with partner teams. On the business development and structuring side, this role will support the Commercial Lead in designing outsourcing proposals, client pitches and the broader deal prospecting process. On the business management side, this role will support outsourcing pipeline management, cross-function stakeholder management, and internal deal governance.Overall, the role requires deep levels of internal relationship building with daily collaboration and engagement across all areas of the APAC business (investments, technology, in-country sales teams, and operations). You will learn how to support and drive long-term, strategic, and complex opportunities with an entrepreneurial mindset and strong client focus.Key responsibilities will include: Outsourcing/Structuring:

- Support the Commercial Lead on specific outsourcing opportunities
- Develop a strong internal network across the business that can be leveraged to design new outsourcing proposals and pitches
- Maintain a deep understanding of the BlackRock platform across all our capabilities including investments, technology, operations and thought leadership
- In consulting-like capacity, partner with Sales and business functions to support the creation of outsourcing proposals
- Own the creation of confidential client pitch presentationsBusiness Development:

- Help to create a wealth outsourcing prospecting plan for each market
- Manage monthly prospecting meetings with country sales teams
- Further support prospecting process with sales training and tracking industry developments through news flowBusiness Management:

- Manage the team outsourcing pipeline, weekly team meeting and team communications (e.g., monthly outsourcing updates)
- Intellectually curious with the ability to take initiative and deliver results in a matrixed organization
- Structured critical thinker with problem-solving abilities who can organize people under pressure and pull-in key decision makers to prioritize issues and respond to clients and senior management
- Ability to produce management-level quality presentations and business briefing memos
- Results-oriented and able to “roll-up the sleeves” in order to accomplish necessary tasks
- Strong sense of personal accountability regarding decision-making
- Excellent written and oral communication, including facility with PowerPoint
- High attention to detail and strong work ethic
