**Lead Design Engineer**

**Job description**:
Role and responsibilities:

- Works independently to establish design requirements, conceptualize, plan and execute technical deliverables.
- Provide leadership and guidance to team of multi-region engineers, designers, drafters and analysts for assigned project.
- Responsible to ensure all engineering scope for assigned project meets internal & customer requirements and is delivered on time.
- Responsible for overall engineering budget management including variations.
- Work with Project Planner and Project Manager to plan, generate and maintain engineering schedule of assigned projects.
- Technical focal point in the area of expertise for all communication with customer and internal project team.
- Collaborate closely with internal project team members to ensure successful project execution.
- Review and interpret customer technical specifications and industry codes
- Review and approve engineering documents, including specifications, drawings, MEL (Master Equipment List), DBI (Data Base Information), ECN (Engineering Change Notice), design documents and procedures.

Reporting relationships: REMS Engineering Manager (REMS WFC)
Location: Singapore

**You are meant for this job if**:

- BS or MS in Engineering.
- Generally 8+ years of relevant industry experience. Ideally 10+ years of relevant experience with previous experience in TechnipFMC preferred.
- Expert sub-system & product knowledge for at least one Subsea product line (Well Completion, Well Access, Subsea Manifolds & Interconnect or Controls & Automation) and strong awareness of overall subsea Production Systems.
- Strong understanding of API and ISO codes applicable to subsea system.
- Sound understanding of engineering practices, design methods & calculations.
- Ability to read, interpret & prepare applicable technical information & suggest design or process changes to ensure functional and cost effective results.
- Ability to lead root cause analysis to evaluate failure modes, suggest mitigations for design and process improvements.
- Possess drive and initiative to independently communicate, gather information and make sound engineering decisions.
- Able to operate Unigraphics, AutoCAD, MathCAD and SAP.
