DESIGNATION : Deputy Director / Senior Assistant Director (Development & Planning)

RESPONSIBILITIES

You shall be mainly responsible for the planning and development works at Gardens by the Bay, for new developments and/or redevelopment, so as to create and maintain the Gardens as a premier horticulture and nature-based attraction. You will work with a team to develop and implement the Garden’s physical development plan. The planning and execution of these new developments will involve the liaison with stakeholders, and with relevant authorities on land and planning/development issues, putting up funding proposals, monitoring and managing development timeline and budget, as well as oversee the procurement and management of consultancy and works contracts.

You would also be required to coordinate regular budgetary and expenditure submissions and returns from Gardens by the Bay to Ministry of National Development and Building and Construction Authority, manage public agency works in and around the gardens as well as administer Temporary Occupation Licences from stakeholders in the gardens.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Masters / Degree in Quantity Surveying;
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in Project Management, Urban Planning, Architecture, Engineering and/or Building Management, preferably in government projects;
- Resourceful, innovative, enterprising and develops new ideas by analysing situations and displays the ability to ensure effective execution
- Open-minded, agile and possesses the ability to anticipate and respond to changes positively and effectively;
- Collaborative with good interpersonal, communication and presentation skills and be dynamic, self-motivated and a versatile team player to work across boundaries;
- Knowledge-based and gathers and analyses data logically to make sound recommendations for decision making; and
- Sustainability driven to promote strategies to achieve sustainable development goals in social, economic and environmental areas.
