**ABOUT THE POSITION**

As Procurement Specialist you will be part of the Global SCM teams within PlasticBean, reporting to the VP, Global Procurement as line manager. As such you will be working closely and in collaboration with various sections in Global Operations & SCM and other stakeholders of PlasticBean.

Within this role you will be responsible for sourcing for the right commodities/products and negotiating for the lowest possible price yet maintaining close relationship with suppliers, whilst continuously considering the changing environment and company business strategy. You should have good knowledge on trade regulations and guidelines, and decent understandings on labilities and risks.

**WHAT WILL YOU DO**
- To actively source for suppliers and increasing the list of suppliers to meet the business needs.
- Identify, evaluate and qualify new suppliers in accordance to Supply Chain procedure.
- Work with Sales, material expert and product development team to source and procure from the right suppliers.
- Develop new and maintain existing relationships with suppliers.
- Working with Contract Specialist to ensure that all contracts relating to procurement contain all details of negotiation.
- To have basic knowledge on contract terms and able to identify potential risks and opportunities in implementing the contract terms.
- Review and negotiate prices and terms from suppliers.
- Evaluate variation requests from suppliers and develop strategies and compelling arguments to mitigate potential cost and schedule impact.

**YOUR ATTRIBUTES**
- Relevant Degree relate to Contract Law / Business Studies / Supply Chain, etc
- 8 years of relevant experience in Procurement, etc.
- Excellent written and oral communication skill.
- Strong negotiation skill.
- Basic knowledge of commercial and legal terms
- Excellent interpersonal skills and great team player. Also must have ability to work independently.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Able to perform in a fast-paced working environment.
- Able to travel.
- Positive minded, always approaching challenges with a can-do attitude.
