The Role

As the Procurement Specialist, you will be a key leader in our operations team, driving the strategic sourcing, procurement, and vendor management processes. You will ensure the timely acquisition of high-quality materials, furniture, and services for our interior design projects while optimizing costs and fostering strong supplier relationships. This role requires a blend of strategic vision, operational expertise, and collaborative leadership to support ID21's growth and project excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Procurement Planning: Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with ID21's project goals and long-term business objectives.
• Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate and onboard suppliers, negotiating contracts to secure competitive pricing, favorable terms and reliable delivery schedules.
• End-to-End Procurement Oversight: Manage the full procurement lifecycle, including requisition, purchase order creation, supplier coordination and delivery tracking.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with project managers, designers, quantity surveyors and finance teams to ensure materials meet design specifications, project timelines and budget constraints.
• Cost Optimization: Analyze market trends, supplier pricing and material availability to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
• Quality and Compliance: Ensure all procured materials and services meet ID21's quality standards and comply with Singapore's procurement regulations and industry standards.
• Vendor Performance Monitoring: Establish KPIs to evaluate supplier performance, address issues proactively and maintain long-term partnerships.
• Process Improvement: Leverage data and procurement tools to streamline processes, reduce lead times and enhance supply chain efficiency.
• Reporting and Analysis: Maintain accurate procurement records, generate reports on spending and performance, and provide strategic insights to senior management.
• Sustainability Focus: Explore eco-friendly materials and suppliers to align with ID21's commitment to sustainable design practices.

Job Requirements

What We're Looking For

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Procurement, or a related field. A professional certification is a plus.
• Experience: Minimum 5–7 years of procurement experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or strategic role, preferably in interior design, construction, or related industries.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in procurement software and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data analysis. Familiarity with ERP systems is an advantage.
• Negotiation Expertise: Proven track record of negotiating complex contracts and securing cost-effective deals with suppliers.
• Analytical Abilities: Strong ability to analyze market trends, supplier performance and cost structures to drive strategic decisions.
• Leadership and Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills to lead cross-functional collaboration and manage stakeholder relationships, both internal and external.
• Industry Knowledge: Understanding of interior design materials (e.g., furniture, fixtures, finishes) and Singapore's procurement and import regulations.
• Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to ensuring accuracy in contracts, budgets, and material specifications.
• Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects with tight deadlines.
