DESIGNATION : Head of LNG Portfolio Optimisation (Japanese Speaking), SG

RESPONSIBILITIES

**Position Purpose**
- Head of LNG Portfolio Optimisation plays a role to ensure the stable LNG supply for JERA from appropriate tank inventory management and support JERAGM in pursuit of its optimisation activities.
- To provide support to Head of JERA Supply
- To provide JERAGM with accurate information about JERA’s LNG supply and demand situation and additional procurement needs. Prior to finalizing optimisation activities by Head of LNG, Head of LNG Portfolio Optimisation reviews the activities from the viewpoint of avoiding negative impact on stable LNG supply under the supervision of Head of JERA Supply.
- To correctly inform JERA’s Head of Optimisation of JERAGM’s intention of conducting respective optimisation activities
- To support JERA to improve its LNG operational capability by introducing or give appropriate advice to JERA regarding JERAGM’s optimisation activities including market situation.
- To be closely involved in JERAGM’s overall LNG activities to support smooth implementation of optimisation transactions
- To communicate with JERA’s staff daily in Japanese to ensure the stable LNG supply and inventory management for JERA.

**Main Responsibilities**
- To facilitate JERA LNG portfolio optimisation, liaising between JERA and JERAGM and maximizing value of JERA Group
- To analyze and evaluate the risks that JERAGM's optimisation may have adverse impact on JERA's LNG supply and demand balance, develop a consecutive approach in pursuit of optimisation activities, and contribute to maximising JERA group profits.
- To report to Head of JERA Supply in a timely manner, if operational concerns are raised.
- To identify operational constraints that hinder optimisation activities and seek countermeasures to solve the issues in collaboration with JERA
- To provide support for Head of JERA Supply and Portfolio Optimisation team members in daily activities.

QUALIFICATIONS

**Experience Required**
- Extensive knowledge and experience of JERA LNG portfolio, JERA’s supply demand operation and delivery scheduling
- Experience in the LNG industry would be required
- Strong personal connection with key people in JERA
- Good knowledge and experience of LNG commercial activities and LNG Shipping operation.Deep understanding and insight on pursuing LNG optimisation activities
- A good level of fluency in the English and Japanese language, both written and spoken is essential to liaise with, and participate in business meetings with our Japanese shareholder’s teams daily

**Person Specification**
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey information accurately and effectively in English and Japanese to liaise with Japanese counterparties
- Strong relationship building and stakeholder management skills
- Highly cooperative and motivated
- Very attentive to and accurate in details of information

**Technical Requirement**
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
