Our MNC client's food ingredients are derived from natural herbs, spices, vegetables and hops. They are translated into easy-to-use liquid extracts ideal for most formulations. Their products meet the challenges faced by food and beverage manufacturers throughout the industry and more than 70 countries worldwide.

To service the customers in Asia, our Client has decided to set up a finishing centre in Singapore.

Working closely with the Site Director here, this is a pioneering role which will be responsible for setting up sourcing processess and being hands on in order to meet business objectives.

This is a set-up stage and the right person will be someone who is able to work occasionally with heat, noise, odors, heights, confined spaces as a work-in-progress situation.

This is also someone who is ready to work as a sole contributor in this initial stage.

**The Role -**
- Provide vision, coaching and leadership in Procurement ensuring that the customer orders are fulfilled in a timely manner in compliance with EHS, Food Safety, Regulatory and Customer requirements
- Lead and cultivate a Customer focused team and develop KPI’s to achieve overall growth objectives. Works closely with Manufacturing, Logistics, Marketing and Sales team to achieve better results to serve the customer by fulfilling their wish at mínimal cost.
- Lead and develop ways of working to efficiently support warehouse and logístical activities, to fullfill Customer order and inventory accuracy to support Production. With Transport Safety and Compliance in mind, to support the team on all import and export activities utilizing the broader tax treaties and the benefits arised due to those for export.
- Work with the Site Director and the Global team on sourcing for a wide rage of commodities from Raw materials to highly technical products. Monitor the market conditions and evaluating potential long term strategic inventory positions to manage cost and profitability. Guide the team on Sourcing model analysis for Raw materials, Packaging, transportation, warehousing and other sourcing model functions and links.
- Work with the Site Director for procuring Packaging supplies and consummables and necessary contracts that are needed to fullfil orders and the Quality and Food Safety requirements.
- Implement programs and guide the team on material flow, receiving and overall supply chain optimization. This might need effective work with 3rd party logistics and warehouse operations as and when needed.

**The Person -**
- Degree/Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership/Supervision or Equivalent mix of Education and Experience.
- Minimum 10 year of experience in food, beverage, chemical, process or pharmaceutical manufacturing.
- Key user in the ERP system
- Demonstrated ability in leading cross-functional teams
- Demonstrated problem solving skills and attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to develop strategic plans and work with staff on implementation
- Strong interpersonal skills - ability to work with people of differing experience, viewpoints, cultures, beliefs, and educational levels
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

**Desired**:

- Prior experience in similar industry
- Certified/Trained in TPM, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma or similar programs
- Work experience in multiple departments of Supply chain
- Experience as a buyer and knowledge on global market research for commodities for agricultural products.
