Summer Internship 2024

The Capital Group’s Europe-Asia Client Group focuses on delivering superior investment products and client experience to help meet the goals of our clients: Institutional investors (governments, corporations, retirement funds) and Individual investors (via financial intermediaries such as retail banks, private banks, insurers).

Successful applicants will be placed in one of the following teams:
Marketing

The Marketing department drives business growth through marketing and business initiatives. Client marketing works in close partnership with the sales team, including the crafting of marketing campaigns for fund launches and sell-throughs with new and existing distributors and growing the brand ranking with our gatekeepers in line with our long-term strategy goals. Content marketing is another strategic pillar that Marketing/Sales leverages to drive growth by focusing on how Capital Group promotes and markets the firm through the creation and distribution of content that can attract, retain all clients, and to help drive action.

Investment Product Services

The Investment Product Services (IPS) team partners with Investment Specialists (IS) to deliver deep expertise on CG’s investment strategies both internally and externally. Collectively they are the voice of CG’s investment strategies. The IPS and IS teams are two sides of the same coin, with IS focusing on external meetings, and IPS more internally focused, originating investment insights for use by the Sales and IS teams. IPS also plays a crucial role in thinking strategically about the growth and evolution of their product area, partnering closely with the IS, Sales, Marketing and Business Management teams to unlock additional growth opportunities.

Sales

Our Singapore sales team comprises of Financial Intermediary (FIT) and Institutional (IB) sales. FIT clients include private banks, retail banks, insurers, digital platforms, and financial advisors; this channel includes more global collaboration to service Global Financial Institutions that is present in the US, Europe, and Asia, marketing & brand considerations, and is more complex due to the presence of the 'intermediary' between Capital Group and end investors. IB clients include sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, central banks and endowments. These clients are more sophisticated and are typically the ultimate end investor, so the engagements are more centered around investment considerations. Interns will have exposure to both sides of the business. Both sales teams work closely with our marketing, investment product services, and client servicing teams.

Business Data, Analytics and Tools

The Business Data, Analytics and Tools (BDAT) team has been set up to drive the formulation and implementation of a data, analytics and tools strategy in the Europe Asia Client Group (EACG). The team works with business partners across Capital to provide intelligence to front-line teams on clients and prospects to improve the client experience, while also enhancing the data model to enrich insights and analytics overtime. The team also collaborates with various stakeholders to generate broader efficiencies across the value chain through use of self service, automation and collaboration technologies.
