Looking for a Summer Internship for 2025 in Financial Services? We are offering talented students the opportunity to gain valuable insight and hands-on experience in to our business. The internship will offer a 12 week immersive experience during the summer in our Singapore office.

The opportunity:
The TP ICAP 12-week internship will give you valuable and insightful experience into a major international inter-dealer broker where you will gain unique insight in to our Finance function, the people who perform that role and our industry. While day-to-day responsibilities will vary based on your placement, this represents an incredible opportunity to build your foundational knowledge, professional skills and experiences to take your career in many different directions. Including the opportunity to secure a permanent opportunity upon completion of the internship.

TP ICAP is a global firm of professional intermediaries playing a pivotal role in the world’s financial markets, energy and commodities markets.

We provide market participants with execution via a range of regulated venues, covering a full spectrum of over-the-counter (OTC) asset classes, including FX, Rates, Credit, Equities, Energy and Commodities. Matching buyers and sellers via electronic, voice and hybrid channels, we facilitate the development of liquidity and price discovery in these markets and provide insight and context to our clients. Globally, we are a leading provider of proprietary OTC market data and analytics, with comprehensive coverage of financial, energy and commodities products. Our market data is independent, unbiased and non-position influenced.

Our clients include banks, insurance companies, pension and hedge funds, asset managers, energy producers and refiners, as well as risk and compliance managers and charities.

What you can expect:

- Finance project related work including (but not limited to) reviewing processes, making improvements, implementing audit recommendations.
- Cross working with other departments including Strategy and IT.
- Supporting month end accounting and annual reporting.
- Potential exposure to a number of teams across Finance, with exposure to areas and duties including:

- Journal entry
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Supplier invoicing and payments
- Credit control
- Management reporting
- Commission system maintenance
- Management Accounts preparation
- Month end and year end close procedures
- Financial modelling
- Treasury management

What we require from you:

- You will be a penultimate year student in a full-time study.
- A clear interest in both Financial Services and the role of a Finance professional.
- A passion for working with people and numbers.
- Possess excellent communication and collaboration skills. Able to work effectively with a diverse team.
- Can demonstrate both analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- An eye for detail.
- Comfortable with ambiguous, ever-changing situations.
- Prior exposure to the Microsoft Office suits (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word).
