Our client is a pre-seed stage startup that provides energy-efficient cold rooms-as-a-service at customer facilities on a monthly subscription model. Backed by leading climate-tech investors, the company has developed a product that gives customers access to modern, managed, efficient, and affordable cold rooms.

As the Product Co-Founder, you can shape a product that solves key industry pain points. You will lead the design and engineering of the cold room, the refrigeration systems, the IoT sensors (including temperature sensors, smart meters, and connected breakers), the data warehouse, the operations dashboard, and other software/hardware deployed in cold rooms (and beyond).

**Your core responsibilities will include**:

- Play a key role in defining and executing the company's overall technical and product strategy.
- Oversee the roadmap, planning, development, and maintenance of the software/hardware aspects of the solution, ensuring scalability, cost efficiency, reliability, and security.
- Lead the end-to-end software/hardware product development and/or selection process, from concept to deployment.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to define product features and specifications.
- Evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies to meet business goals.
- Work closely with the CEO and your Co-Founder to align on business strategies.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and continuous learning within the team.

**To be successful, you will need**:

- Proven experience in software/firmware development and architecture.
- Understanding the interplay between the IoT solution, data dashboard, and hardware.
- Experience in energy, industrial IoT or cold chain would be a plus.
- Prior experience as a technical co-founder or in a similar leadership role in a startup environment is highly desired.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, early stage, and dynamic startup culture.
- Demonstrated ability to think creatively and strategically about technology solutions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for innovation.
- Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Entrepreneurial spirit with a willingness to take risks and drive the company's success.
- Minimally, a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
