The incumbent is responsible handling regional financial performance evaluation, maximizing efficiency of regional financial assets, and deploying policies from Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) Global HQ in Japan and Chief Regional Officer (CRO) in Asia Pacific region.
He/she is required to manage the financial subsidiary as one of directors under the direction of Global Finance & Accounting Department at MHI Global HQ & is required to participate in global projects under the direction of the Global Finance & Accounting Department at MHI Global HQ.
**Job responsibility**
Regional Financial Strategy Planning
- Contribute to strategic planning and decision-making at the top executive level to develop and implement a financial strategy that aligns with the organization's business objectives under the direction of Global HQ
Company Management
- Manage the financial subsidiary including the preparation of regional financial reports, such as profit and loss accounts, balance sheets, management financial reports, and regulatory reports and filings
Asset Management Operation
- Monitor cash flows in each operating corporation in region and plan to optimize asset flow efficiency under the direction of Global HQ
- Lead asset management operations under the direction of CRO
Regional Representative
- Represent regional finance and accounting matters to support group companies in Asia Pacific area under the direction of Global HQ
- Participate in global projects, such as integration of shared services in regions, under the direction of the Global Financial Department at Global HQ
HR Management
- Lead, direct, evaluate, retain and develop a team of senior managers to ensure the organization's financial strategy is implemented effectively, consistently and according to established guidelines
**Job requirement**
- Bachelor degrees related to business, such as management, economics, finance and accounting
- Global financial and accounting knowledge including treasury, deliveries, legal financial accounting, tax accounting and cost accounting
- Have at least 15 years’ experience working in accounting or finance
- Experience in accounting for large plant and EPC projects where the percentage of completion method is applied is essential
- Japanese Language Proficiency of JLPT N1 or equivalent is required as there will be frequent correspondences with counterparts in Japan.
- Certification in accounting (preferred)
