**BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT**:
The Office of the Executive Director (OED) provides the necessary support enabling the Executive Director to effectively perform his/her leadership role. OED assists the Executive Director in setting strategic direction, optimizing WFP’s global profile and maximizing the organization’s operational effectiveness. OED supports the Leadership Group, the Senior Management Group and the offices that report directly to the Executive Director.

Reporting to the Social Media Manager for the Executive Director, the consultant will be responsible for the creation of multimedia assets for campaigns and social accounts across Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. This role focuses on creating unique and engaging content for the Executive Director’s channels, adhering to the content goals and guidelines that are specific to each. The consultant will ensure that all work is done within the appropriate organizational frameworks and guidelines.

**ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Identify, source, and develop compelling visual content for the Executive Director’s (ED) social media channels - from inception to postproduction - including filming, sound recording, editing, etc, ensuring that all contributes to the ED’s social media.
- Contribute to content planning and creation, guided by the ED’s organizational priorities, engagements, missions and other events, identifying compelling content ideas and opportunities.
- Deliver high quality storytelling in the form of short and long-form videos and reels, gathered from missions, speaking engagements, pre-recorded messages, interviews, etc.
- Develop and deliver a suite of engaging video content that powerfully explains WFP’s mission and excellence within the humanitarian and development ecosystem.
- Collaborate with relevant teams to create unique ED-content for WFP’s largest emergency operations - from Afghanistan to South Sudan, Yemen, Ukraine, Syria, etc.
- Potentially travel to WFP operations for short term assignments to gather content with consent (video, audio, drone footage, photos).
- Independently direct video production, including conducting interview shoots, video recording and production of engaging clips for social media
- Leverage new video content where possible, jumping on trending sounds, templates and themes, suggesting new styles and formats as necessary.
- Ensure that all content created follows WFP’s digital asset workflows and protocols.
- Other duties as required, particularly in situations of rapidly evolving developments.

**DELIVERABLES QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**:
**Education**:
Advanced University degree in

**Experience**:

- At least 8 years of relevant professional experience in professional video production and stills photography, ideally with a focus on social media platforms

**Knowledge and Skills**:

- Extensive experience in all aspects of video and sound recording on location to the highest standards, including drone videography
- Extensive experience with color grading, time remapping, use of masking and effects in Premier Pro
- Extensive experience in all aspect of pre
- and post-production sound, including Parametric EQ, Compression, Dynamic Processing and Restoration
- Extensive experience in storytelling in the form of short and long-form videos
- Managing multiple projects and delivering to brief and deadline
- Experience working at an international organization desirable
- High degree of autonomy and organization
- Creative
- Team player

**Languages**:
Fluency (level C) in English language. Knowledge of Spanish, French or Arabic a strong asset.
