Associate Director of Digital Communications

**The Associate Director of Digital Communications **implements and manages content and outreach strategies and plans across all of TNC Asia Pacific’s digital and social media channels that align with the organisation’s overall goals, to position TNC as the go-to environmental organization for Asia Pacific’s change agents looking for innovative, inclusive, scalable solutions that are grounded in science to address the twin climate and biodiversity crises.
The Associate Director of Digital Communications is responsible for planning, implementing and managing digital content and outreach strategies, marketing campaigns and communications across TNC Asia Pacific’s owned digital channels to build awareness, engage stakeholders, influence conservation action, and achieve revenue goals. S/he will manage and grow the organisation’s online engagement across the Asia Pacific region in support of our conservation work.
They collaborate with key stakeholders and teams across the region and internationally, to ensure work product delivery is consistent with the digital marketing goals and strategies through the alignment of staff, vendors and team efforts to match priorities set by senior management.
They manage the budget and operational delivery of branding principles, whether applied internally or with external partners. They are responsible for relationships with internal partner(s) or key stakeholder group(s).
**RESPONSIBILITIES & SCOPE**
- Strategizes and executes a content and outreach plan using TNC Asia Pacific’s digital channels to effectively engage key audiences and increase brand awareness.
- To conceptualise and manage digital marketing campaigns that align with organizational goals, including the development of creative concepts and copy, monitoring of success metrics, and end-to-end management of performance marketing activity across Paid Social channels and paid search.
- To plan content calendars, optimize channels, and engage communities across all social media platforms.
- Sets targets and monitors KPIs. Uses Google Analytics and other tools to methodically track, analyse and optimize performance of all communications and channels, implementing recommendations to ensure success.
- Increases brand visibility on social media and other digital channels by interacting with KOLs and key influencers to establish partnerships.
- Sources and works closely with any partner agencies to implement, optimize and report on performance, optimize audience strategies, and ensure budget is spent across performance channels efficiently.
- Collaborates with fundraising teams and other key stakeholders for the delivery of effective online marketing campaigns.
- Discovers and keeps abreast of latest digital trends and continued advancement in digital and marketing technologies and adapts to optimize productivity and effectiveness.
- To engage key stakeholders across the region to ensure alignment of messages and communications across digital platforms.
- Manages one or more professional staff and accountable for achievement of team business and professional development goals and objectives.
- Assists with creation/administration of budget, evaluates results and develops corrective strategies as needed.
- Able to work flexible hours when necessary to accommodate meetings in other time zones.
**What You'll Bring**:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field and a minimum of 8 years related experience or equivalent combination.
- Experience in project management, developing communications, media and engagement strategies and measuring results.
- Experience cultivating and managing client relationships.
- Experience supervising staff and team.
**Desired Qualifications**:
- Multi-lingual skills appreciated.
- Multi-cultural or cross-cultural experience preferred.
- Experience developing, implementing and measuring communication and engagement plans/strategies.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to persuasively convey the mission of The Nature Conservancy to diverse groups including donors, board members, and the public.
- Demonstrated ability in managing the fiduciary aspects of planning and delivery of budgets.
- Excellent writing, presentation, communication, mediation and negotiation skills.
- Familiarity with communication technologies and best practices.
- Experience and/or understanding of communication best practices at a decentralized organization a plus.
- Expert knowledge of current and evolving trends in relevant marketing disciplines. Cross disciplinary knowledge to support program objectives.
- Management experience that includes ability to lead, motivate, set objectives and manage performance and conflict resolution.
- Fosters an environment of creativity and professional growth.
- Experience working across multiple digital channels and using analytics tools.
- Strong knowledge of content marketing strategies and tactics
- Experience managing multiple projects effectively.
