We are looking for a Sales Engineer for our Satellite clients:
Computer Operations/Technical Support
Senior Executive
Sales Engineer-IT
TECHNICAL SALES ENGINEER
**Date of Joining: Immediate / As soon as possible**
**Key Responsibilities**:
1. Collaborate closely with the Operations, Product and Sales Team to prepare accurate and competitive IT sales quotations.
2. Engage with customers directly to clarify technical requirements, present solutions, and provide assurance that proposed services are deliverable.
3. Assist in building, configuring, and maintaining a comprehensive test lab environment for customer demonstrations and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
4. Coordinate closely with onboard engineers during installation, providing remote technical support and troubleshooting to ensure seamless project implementation.
5. Conduct technical sign-off and documentation of completed projects, ensuring smooth handover to Billing/Finance departments.
6. Provide ongoing technical support to Customers, Support Team, sales representatives and project managers throughout the sales and implementation lifecycle.
**Required Technical Skills**:
- Proven experience in configuring and managing networking hardware, including:
- Switches (e.g., Cisco, HP, Microtik)
- Firewalls (e.g., Fortinet, Cisco ASA, Sophos)
- Wireless Access Points (e.g., Aruba, Cisco Meraki, Ubiquiti)
- Some understanding of Satellite Communications (VSAT), and any marine telecommunication systems.
- Familiarity with network infrastructure and network monitoring.
- Hands-on experience with basic network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs).
- Some experience and understanding of Satellite Communications (VSAT), and cloud-based platforms and services (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) would be advantageous.
Preferred Ǫualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Electrical Engineering, or related technical fields, or equivalent industry experience.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA/CCNP, Fortinet NSE, or equivalent network certification.
- Experience working within the maritime industry or VSAT communication environments would be highly advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused attitude.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
**Soft Skills**:
- Ability to clearly articulate technical solutions to non-technical customers and colleagues.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, able to collaborate effectively across multiple departments.
- Detail-oriented and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.
