**Team Overview**:
Korea is Preqin’s fastest growing market in APAC and has seen an exponential growth in the last couple of years. Our Korean clients are consisting of institutional investors, asset management companies, securities firms, private fund managers, government institutions and others. The existing Korea sales team consists of highly motivated, energetic and achievement-oriented individuals. The team has built a strong brand value and network within the alternative investment community and aims to continue growing Preqin’s business, relationships and brand equity in Korea.
**Role Overview**:
We are looking for a motivated sales professional with a right mindset to manage and grow existing client relationships through subscription renewals and expansion, uplifts, and cross-selling of additional products. In this role, you will be responsible for strategic planning and account management across a designated sales territory and will be required to take full ownership within your jurisdiction. The role requires working with account managers to successfully retain and grow existing customer base, driving sales agendas and exceeding monthly net sales quotas and quarterly milestone goals.

- Develop a deep understanding of our clients’ organizational structure, understand each team/user’s needs, and their workflow, and support where needed.
- Identify key contacts at existing clients and maintain a strong need and relationships for Preqin to secure future retention.
- Identify potential users to increase usage within the clients’ organization to grow the value of Preqin by on-going engagements such as customized training and day-to-day support.
- Identify clients at risk, ensuring urgent client issues are resolved in a timely manner and turn the risks into safe renewal opportunities.
- Effectively communicate the status, risks and opportunities within the existing clients with the Sales team.
- Proactively communicate client feedback on data, product and the industry with the relevant departments within Preqin.
- Go the extra mile to provide excellent client support to maintain a positive reputation and impact for the business.
Qualifications:
**Key Requirements for this Role**:
- Curiosity for learning, willingness to develop customer support skills to advance to the future Sales account management role.
- Must have a “Client-first” attitude.
- Proficient in both written and spoken Korean language to liaise with the Korea market and clients
- An additional Asian language would be advantageous
- Prior experience in Client Success or Client Service within the financial data vending industry (is a bonus)
- Organized, detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and respond quickly
- Highly proficient in MS Office Suite and CRM systems. Experience with Salesforce is preferred
- Working knowledge of the financial market data space, alternative assets, and financial services industries
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business or related field required

**Training and Development**
Preqin offers comprehensive Sales Training to all new members of the Sales and CS Teams. Our training is provided in the first few weeks of joining us and utilises powerful, up-to-date techniques along-side industry knowledge to create a truly bespoke training experience unique to Preqin. Individuals that complete our programmes are able to conduct more efficient prospecting, uncover more value within our prospects and clients, resist and overcome objections and achieve success in a shorter period. Once completed and an assessment passed, all Sales & CS reps will be fully certified in Preqin Sales Fundamentals and experience a reduced ramping period and earn more money, faster.
