**About Department and Purpose of the Position**

We are seeking an outstanding and highly motivated (Senior) Assistant Manager in Department of Surgery, who will be responsible for the management of assigned clinical service(s) across the continuum of care, and achieving stated outcomes in customer service, volume & financial targets, processes and learning & growth perspectives.

**Key Responsibilities**
Operations & Business Management
Primary responsibility is to work with Head of Department (HOD), manager(s), clinicians and nurse managers to:
1. Manage service point operations assigned at NUH Breast Care Centre including: - Manage service point operations assigned (e.g. solve system and process issues, clinic staff recruitment, training and etc);
- Ensure a positive experience for patients along the continuum of care;
- Responsible for achieving customer satisfaction targets in partnership with the Reporting Officer.
- Responsible for devising innovative ways to continually improve service levels.
- Support clinic renovations work.

2. Responsible for achieving the volume and financial targets for the clinical services assigned, and be responsible for developing and carrying out business plans to ensure that goals are reached.
3. Support annual financial budgeting and regular reviews with clinical heads of departments/divisions, and development of new businesses.

Operations Planning

1. Support in the planning and operationalisation of National Trauma Centre and National University Centres and/or Centre of Excellence.
2. Drive process improvements and streamline workflows to ensure efficient operations and process flow for patient care journey.
3. Analysis, monitoring and reporting of operations and clinical indicators to aid decision making.
4. Support in annual department workplan and budgeting.
5. Support as secretariat for department, internal and external workgroup meetings for operations planning matters.

Secondary Responsibilities and Duties
- Disseminate and implement hospital’s policies & procedures.
- Ensure Policy & Procedures are current.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor

**Key Requirements**
- Bachelor degree from a recognized institution
- Good analytical and organization skills
- Excellent communication, problem solving, presentation, negotiation and interpersonal skill
- Competent in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Positive, motivated and able to perform under pressure.
- Has initiative and able to work independently.
- Experience in healthcare is not compulsory, but preferred.
