Pathway and Performance Executive

1. Purpose of Job
As the Sports Pathway and Performance Executive at the Singapore Disability Sports Council, your role holds significant importance in advancing the strategic excellence.
Your contributions extend towards ensuring that athletes receive comprehensive support for their holistic development. By driving initiatives that empower para sport.
2. Key Responsibility Areas
Strategic Planning:
Develop and implement a long-term strategic plan for up to 3 sports programs to achieve high performance and competitive success.
Identify and prioritize key performance objectives, targets, and milestones in consultation with relevant stakeholders.
Continuously evaluate and adapt the strategic plan to align with changing needs, trends, and opportunities.
Athlete Development and Support:
Collaborate with coaches, support staff, and colleagues to identify and nurture talented para athletes.
Oversee the athlete selection process, ensuring fair and transparent procedures.
Provide guidance and resources to support the holistic development of para athletes, including training, nutrition, sports psychology, and injury prevention/rehabilitation.
Implement athlete performance monitoring and evaluation systems to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
Coaching and Technical Support:
Work closely with para athetes, coaches to ensure high-quality coaching provision aligned with international best practices.
Facilitate professional development opportunities for coaches, including workshops, conferences, and certification programs.
Provide technical expertise and guidance in athlete training, technique development, equipment selection, and adaptations specific to para sports.
Support SpexScholar Program:
Provide administrative support for Para athletes in the allocated sports, including assisting with any SpexScholars.
Team lead for Talent ID / Sports Match programme:
Projects Lead. The post holder will be assigned responsibility for leading on specific project areas according to the person’s specific skills and experience. Examples of project areas include Talent ID, Athlete Management System, Para Coach Development.
3. Requirements
Experience: 5 years sports experience
Qualifications: Sports Science degree (or equivalent)
Other Requirements: Fluent communicator in English, proficient in Microsoft systems, demonstrably accurate in administration, previous experience of negotiating, motivating and assisting people in dynamic environments. Microsoft proficiency
4. Competencies
Professional relational relationship building and maintenance, problem solving, excellent administration and time management skills.
