High Performance Executive

**About the Role**:
Fencing Singapore (FS), the High Performance Sport Institute (HPSI), and the Singapore Sports School (SSP) are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to manage the Fencing High Performance Pathway Programme, also known as the National Fencing Programme (NFP), across all weapon groups. The High Performance Executive (HPE) has a critical leadership role responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive high-performance plan to achieve national and international success in fencing.

This role supports the High Performance Manager (HPM) in implementing the strategic plan, fostering a strong national team culture, and maintaining a holistic development environment for athletes. This role involves overseeing the daily aspects of athlete development, including managing local and overseas competitions, supporting the coaching team, training programmes, and budget matters.

**Key Responsibilities and Duties**

**1. Programme Implementation & Operational Support**:

- Support the execution of FS’s strategic and high-performance plans, working closely with the High Performance Manager (HPM), Programme Director (PD), and Deputy Programme Director (DPD).
- Assist in implementing the NFP and High-Performance Athlete Pathway for Senior, Junior, and Cadet squads across all weapon groups.
- Coordinate with National Coaches and National Programme Coaches to ensure effective programme delivery, alignment with annual plans, and a strong team culture.

**2. National Team Operations & Athlete Support**
- Handle day-to-day operations of the NFP, ensuring smooth delivery of training and competition activities.
- Provide administrative and logístical support for athlete training, development initiatives, and welfare programmes, embedding Safe Sport practices.
- Maintain athlete records, monitor training schedules, and assist with administration related to athlete training and support.
- Liaise with HPSI and other specialists to schedule athlete support services, such as physiotherapy, sports science assessments, and medical care.

**3. Competition & Event Coordination**
- Assist in planning and delivering competition logistics for National Team participation in key events (e.g. SEA Games, Asian Games, Olympic Games, World Championships, FIE events).
- Coordinate travel, accommodation, equipment, and on-site support for local and overseas competitions and trials.
- Plan and execute local trials, competitions (ranking and pathway), logistics, travel, and athlete welfare arrangements.
- Support pre-event preparations, on-site operations, and post-event reviews, including reporting and feedback collection.

**4. Policy & Administrative Support**
- Assist with the development, documentation, and updating of high-performance policies (e.g., athlete selection, ranking, training guidelines).
- Provide administrative support for appeals, requests, and selection matters.
- Prepare circulars, update the event calendar, and maintain the website and social media accounts.
- Track programme budgets, process claims, and ensure adherence to organisational policies and procedures.

**5. Stakeholder & Resource Support**
- Assist in communication with athletes, coaches, parents, and external partners to ensure smooth programme delivery.
- Help monitor programme outcomes, compile reports, and identify areas for improvement.
- Support initiatives to secure sponsorship, funding, and resources for high-performance programmes.

**Who are we looking for**:
**Key Qualifications and Attributes**:

- **Experience**:At least 2 years of relevant experience in high-performance sport. Experience in fencing or an Olympic sport of a similar nature is preferred.
- **Leadership & Communication**:Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills (written and spoken English), with the ability to engage and inspire athletes, coaches, and stakeholders.
- **Adaptability**:Flexible and comfortable working in a dynamic environment, with occasional requirements to work outside of standard business hours and undertake overseas travels as Team Manager.
- **Cultural Competence**:Demonstrated ability to work effectively with people of diverse nationalities and cultural backgrounds.
- **Operational Excellence**:Strong administrative and project management skills, including proficiency in spreadsheets, data analysis, and MS Teams.
- **Digital & Communication Skills**:Experience managing websites (e.g. WordPress) and social media platforms.
