About the team you are joining

Reporting to the Manager, Finance, Asia-Pacific, the Assistant Manager, Finance Japanese speaking will be responsible for the Accounts Payable, Account Receivable and Finance functions and reporting for some country offices, and to name one mainly is for Japan.

What your day would be like
- Responsible for hinge account reconciliation accounting, and certain accounts receivable functions of Asia-Pacific countries;
- Responsible for accounts payable functions which include payroll, processing vendor payment, staff expenditure claims of Asia-Pacific countries;
- Handling tax compliance, monthly/yearly accounting (e.g. revenue/ expense accrual accounting, preparing balance sheet analysis schedule, monitoring journal/general ledger, preparing and monitoring cashflow forecast);
- Ensure compliance with Finance Policy Manual, Finance operating procedure and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS);
- Liaise with outsourced tax agent, accounting agent, payroll agent, internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with statutory requirement;
- Supporting Country Managers and Manager Finance in country office forecasts, budgets and variance analysis preparation and any other financial matters, as required;
- Ad hoc tasks assignment from Manager Finance or Regional Head of Corporate Service;
- Ensure there is internal control compliance and assist in improving processes and achieving efficiencies.

- You have a university degree in Finance/Accounting;
- A minimum of 4 to 5 years’ relevant experience;
- Proven team working ability;
- Self-motivated and willing to take initiatives;
- Good sense of order, accurate and precise working style;
- Meticulous and an eye for details as required for accounts reconciliations support;
- Innovative personality, flexible and good communicator;
- Strong PC skills, particularly in MS Office, Excel and word;
- Able to deal with people at different levels within the organization and from varying cultural backgrounds;
- SAP experience is essential;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Japanese.
