Introduction:
At the Economist Intelligence Unit’s Healthcare Division (EIU HC), we believe that actionable strategy for our client is built on the basis of market realities, where data insights and its robust analytics drive informed decisions. For that reason, we have developed a data-centric market tracker solutions called, The Gateway that aims to provide the medtech sector with credible, actionable and granular size, share and growth insights globally.
To this end, we are looking to fill a Manager who will be part of The Gateway team that will manage a team of analysts to ensure the development of the market data solutions in line with our overall business vision and objectives, as well as manage client stakeholders requiring our data and services.
In this role, you will be reporting to the Director, MedTech Market Tracker Solutions.
Accountabilities:
**How you will contribute**:
- ** Project Management**
- Lead a team of analysts in a multi-country development of the global market tracker solutions, that focuses on market data and insights in the healthcare sector
- Determine specifications such as analytical models, research methodologies, timeline, costs etc. required in developing the market tracker and market analysis
- Align the research set-up, design and delivery according to customer’s needs; essentially deliver data and insights that is market-ready and customer-centric
- Able to develop enhancements to the data solution, sketching or creation of ideas that can lead to new product thinking, added analysis, improvement, etc.
- Work collaboratively with other specialists (data analytics) team to ensure the end-to-end development is seamless, and incorporate all key features
- ** Client/Stakeholder Engagement**
- Liaise with client during the delivery and presentation of market data and trend insights, align on deliverables and output, manage different client stakeholders as required
- Able to work cross-functionally with Key Account teams, Sales and Marketing teams to achieve alignment and effective GTM implementation
- ** Team management**
- Responsible for the allocation and management of analysts within the team, ensuring guidance and training is provided for successful implementation
- Maintains analyst team by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees
- Maintains teams’ job satisfaction and outcome; planning, monitoring, and appraising job outcome
Experience, skills and professional attributes:
**To excel in the role, the Associate Manager / Manager should demonstrate**:
- You have 5+ years of experience in management and implementation of market analysis, or have experience in market intelligence / business consulting
- You are highly analytical, organised and meticulous
- You are numerate and have strong interest for data analysis, market insights and trend analysis
- You preferably have knowledge in the healthcare industry, with understanding in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry
- You preferably have some understanding of statistical analysis and/or predictive analytics
- You have experience in project management and team management responsibilities
- You have experience working and delivering in an agile and global team environment
- You have excellent people skills, with the ability to motivate teams and work well with people at all levels in the organisation
- You are fluent in English and Mandarin, with Business Mandarin an added advantage to work effectively on projects in China
- You have a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Business (required)
- You have an MBA (preferable)
