**We are looking for you,**
**Country Controller**
to our **Regional Finance team** in **Singapore**.
Regional finance team has an important role to play in our growth journey and as a Country Controller, you will have local and regional responsibilities. Your primary responsibility is to overview and control the operations and finances of our local entities in Singapore, while concurrently supporting and eventually controlling our growth initiatives within the region. All these require cooperation with multiple stakeholders both locally and within the region as well as with the Headquarters in Finland.
To be successful in the role you combine proactive financial partnering with solid knowledge of financial accounting, reporting, and analysis. You are development oriented and possess technical skills to improve our accounting and reporting processes. You work in an independent and proactive way and can influence others without a formal position. You are able to take the lead and have a holistic approach on the financials but at the same time have an eye on those business critical details.
Your part in Neste journey
Your main responsibilities include
- Be accountable for timely and accurate reporting of the specified entity/entities
- Be responsible of the functioning of daily finance processes of the specified entity/entities.
- Perform and coordinate entity’s monthly financial closing tasks with your team, the Global Financial Services team, and other teams. (e.g. Inventory reconciliation and valuation, price check, accruals, matching, transfer pricing calculation and cost allocations.)
- Track and resolve accounting problems and discrepancies as needed
- Control and coordinate daily financial and compliance matters of the specified entity/entities with the Global Financial Services team and external service providers (ie. the external and internal auditors, tax agents, corporate secretary, local tax and government authorities.)
- Assist to review the Corporate Tax filing, GST filing and WHT filing.
- Assist to review yearly audited financial statement during preparation stage.
- Act as a key point of contact for local compliance partners and authorities.
- Be a solid and trusted finance partner for the internal and external stakeholders.
- Give guidance on local regulatory and statutory requirements. (IFRS, permanent establishments, direct and indirect tax related issues) Support implementation of new IFRS standards, process re-design and system implementation as needed.
- Responsible for annual Plan and rolling forecast and ensures delivery of accurate and timely forecasts.
- Develop our accounting processes while also being able to perform certain routine tasks by yourself
- Review and analyse company financial reports and results
- Develop our reporting processes
- Be a trusted finance advisor within the regional growth projects
- Take the lead on regional finance projects that may require also travelling
- Support in the new implementation of new operating models
- Have other ad hoc duties and reporting to perform and coordinate as assigned by direct superior

- _Bachelor Degree in Accountancy or ACCA_
- _Minimum 5-8 years of related finance work experience_
- _Solid financial accounting and reporting knowledge_
- _Strong analytical skills and concern for quality_
- _Strong problem solving and coordination skills_
- _Good understanding of IFRS and local tax rules_
- _Good working knowledge on ERP/accounting system, Microsoft Office and Google tools._
