Country Manager

As a Country Manager you will be responsible for leading and managing the whole country team responsible for success of DLL Singapore. This includes strategy setting and execution thereof on tactical level, statutory duties, business and non-business related controls as well as ultimate responsibility for profit and loss result. You will also proactively participate in business opportunities and value creation within the framework of Regional Team responsible for Asia Pacific area. This Country Manager role is envisioned to take up to 50% of your capacity with the other part being linked with any other Management Team role (i.e. COO, CCO, CRO, CLCO, CFO). You will report to the General Manager of DLL Asia Pacific Region.
**DAY TO DAY**:
- Act as a leader in the local Country Management Team.
- Set in country business strategy in alignment with the vision of the Region and the total DLL organisation which is to be reflected in the annual budget and long-term plans (e.g. PO).
- Ensure systematic identification of local and regional market trends which should result in additional business opportunities.
- Translate business objectives to short term and long-term plans for the whole team in form of OKRs.
- Manage the commercial organisation for all GBUs in the country in alignment with Regional Sales Managers and other GBU stakeholders
- Drive appropriate account management (i.e. global and local vendor partners) and partner satisfaction.
- Support all involved internal departments in constant process and system optimization initiatives to improve customer experience shorten turnaround times.
- Plan, organize, co-ordinate and support the business in financial budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Create a work environment which enables the team to grow and perform at their peak as reflected in member engagement surveys.
- Safeguard a sound financial and operational internal control environment.
- Organize and ensure compliance with corporate and external policies, laws and regulations, including local tax and accounting laws and DLL’s finance, control, tax and treasury policies.
- Plan, structure, organise, manage and control the teams, processes, staff and business partners, in line with corporate policies and company values.
**ESSENTIALS**:
- Minimum 10 years of leasing or financing experience
- Strong general management experience
- Understanding of corporate governance
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Problem solving skills and able to work independently
- People management experience
