Public Affairs Project Officer

Job Overview:
Our client is a global semiconductor leader and they have engaged Timeo to recruit their Public Affairs Project Officer, based in Singapore (a newly created position).
The role will focus on positioning their brand among governmental leaders, industry, and external organizations by driving strategic engagements, advocacy campaigns, and anticipating trends and opportunities. You will foster strong internal collaboration and coordination, actively facilitating the development, execution, and monitoring of action plans for Public Affairs in close collaboration with various business functions. Your role will be to ensure effective communication and coordination between teams, enabling the successful implementation of strategies and initiatives to achieve the goals of Public Affairs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a clear and specific plan for mapping the ecosystem and key stakeholders, defining key stakeholders, specifying how to keep it up-to-date, and provide context for the purpose of the mapping.
- Plan and coordinate specific engagement strategies based on the mapping to position the company (advocacy campaigns, sponsorships, speaking engagements, site visits, partnerships).
- Strengthen the companys positioning and visibility with private and public sectors by identifying and coordinating specific engagement opportunities.
- Develop compelling local narratives that position the company as a leader, highlighting its unique value proposition.
- Engage with the Finance team to manage financial data for strategic projects and facilitate the implementation of these projects for the business teams by coordinating the relationship with both relevant external and internal stakeholders.
- Partner with the Human Resources team on strategic programs such as talent attraction, sustainability, CSR, DEI, and others as needed.
- Collaborate with the Communications team to ensure consistency of the brand, develop collaterals, and promote Public Affairs initiatives internally.
- Support the Public Affairs team to create and update their reporting to follow track of the roadmap, evaluate effectiveness, and ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Support the day-to-day progress of the Public Affairs agenda.
- Conduct market research on government agenda items, and identify potential synergies and opportunities to position the company.
- Implement and manage strategic monitoring and analysis of government policies and issues, anticipate trends, benchmark the competition’s activities across the region, and provide an outlook on economic policies and macroeconomics.
This is an individual contributor role.

Profile Requirements:
- Minimum 6 years of working experience in project management, public affairs, and/or communications.
- Strong project management experience with excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proven ability to lead multiple projects with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficient in data research, organization and analysis, and skilled in transforming data into clear and comprehensive reports.
- Strong interpersonal and execution skills, with a drive to add value to the business direction.
- Excellent attention to detail and financial skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to develop market intelligence reports and strategic analysis.
- Skilled in design and storytelling to create appealing presentations.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and uncertainty and possess a hands-on approach to work on new projects from scratch.
- Resourceful with a high standard of business ethics.
- Values consistent with the Companys expectations, including integrity, excellence, and appreciation for diversity of people.
- Possessing a proactive, positive, and collaborative mindset, coupled with humility.
