The incumbent shall provide assistance to individuals with behavioural issues through observations, assessment, treatment planning, intervention and therapy.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- To conduct observation, assessment, intervention and evaluation of clients in a variety of setting. E.g. school, home, social and/or recreational environment in order to address behavioural and/or emotional issues.
- To prepare behavioural observation and assessment reports and summaries after observation of clients.
- To plan and develop treatment or intervention plan to address behavioural/emotional issues that the client exhibits.
- To share the treatment/intervention plan with caregivers, teachers, counsellors, social workers and other stakeholders, while remaining involved in the care of the client, revising the treatment protocol as and when needed.
- To build and maintain a positive supportive relationship with children/youth in the programme.
- To conduct therapy for clients which involves working with their thought processes, feelings and behaviour. This can be done on an individual or group basis, with known and safe counselling and psychotherapy modalities that will help the clients’ process and overcome their behavioural, emotional and thinking issues.
- To work with parents and stakeholders of clients as part of the treatment/intervention plan. This includes attending meetings, case conferences, case discussion and report writing.
- To keep proper case records of your clients which includes clients’ personal information, reports and proper documentation of all sessions and clients.
- To carry out work in a professional manner, including protecting the confidentiality of the counselling sessions, and the clients.
- To work in close collaboration with the other staff of the Home and of the other components of Boys’ Town in matters pertaining to the welfare of the clients.
- To conduct talks/workshops on mental health topics for the community (e.g. schools, parents, families, peer supporters, volunteers, other social service agencies.
- To participate in projects/committees that the department may undertake when required.
- To participate in roadshows and community programmes in support of children and youth mental health.
- To participate in research as and when required.

Job Requirements
- Degree in Psychology (4th Year Honours or 4th year programme).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Possess humility, emotional maturity, empathy and self-reflexive in working with client.
- Energetic and dynamic.
- Willingness to learn.
- Strong commitment to professional ethics and integrity.
- Passion for working with children and youth and complex psychosocial issues.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
