Position Description

Vantage is looking for a Senior Manager, CSA, APAC, to be part of the design production team that leads design and engineering for the largest individual cost center within the construction process and become engaged in all technical aspects. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team of highly skilled architects, civil & structural engineers and BIM specialists focused on data center critical infrastructure systems, accountable for test-fits, campus masterplan, high-level concept design, BIM specification development, submittal review, design document review, oversight of execution, participation in site inspections and transition to operations. You will be responsible for the career development of all the architects, BIM specialists and engineers reporting to you, the recruitment of new members for the team, and the training and onboarding of all APAC employees to the civils, structure and architecture standards of Vantage.

You will be as well the point of contact for the rest of the departments' leaders involved in the program development (Sales, Solutions Engineering, New Site Development, Finance, Legal, HR, Innovation MEP, Construction, Automation & Controls, Security, IT, and Operations). Regular collaboration and coordination are required with the other managers and directors of the other Vantage development regions to ensure consistency of product delivery.

You and your team will be presented with complex engineering and architecture challenges and be asked to bring them to resolution with all the tools at your disposal. You and your team will ensure existing standards are executed and enhanced for each project. You and the team will evaluate designs and provide engineering analysis to balance CAPEX and OPEX costs.

You and the team will be required to participate, contribute and lead cross-functional initiatives to shape and drive the company long term vision

Essential Job Functions- Build, lead, scale and manage a CSA team focused in the APAC regions.- Coach and help develop the career path of your direct reports- Develop and lead updates to the design standards and specifications for consistency and maximum system reliability- Lead all aspects of architectural design and civils and structural engineering including conceptual design, basis of design, scope of work, development of construction documents- Lead all aspects of BIM implementation including BEP, naming convention, model maintenance- Lead client interfacing CSA technical meetings, providing support to the Solutions Engineering team- Contribute, participate and lead cross functional company initiatives to drive the long term vision- Develop and lead updates to the design, procurement, and construction processes- Oversee review process of engineering studies of all types- Visit development regions for strategy development meetings

Duties- Conduct weekly meetings with direct reports to provide feedback and assist in addressing concerns and removing roadblocks- Help develop and guide career path plans for direct reports- Partner up with Human Resources in the recruitment of appropriately skilled individuals to deliver the product required- Work with other managers in cross-functional efforts across the VDC APAC organization- Provide department building assistance to brand new regions- Provide and review detailed workflows for change management activities- Conduct and lead value engineering analyses, and provide system recommendations based on ROI and IRR analysis- Conduct and lead cross-functional initiatives to engage in the development of the corporate long term vision, driving to improve cost, speed to market, and product delivery quality- Travel to data center sites for building relationships with new development, construction, and Vantage partners as required- Respond on an as-needed basis to data center related emergencies- Engage with corporate user groups and stakeholders- Engage with the other internal management teams-

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience- Bachelor of Science in Civils Engineering, Structural Engineering, Building Engineering, Architecture or similar technical field, from an accredited university or college- 8+ years of experience in data center arc
