Infrastructure Support Specialist

We’re looking for our next **Infrastructure Support Specialist **position to be part of our IT department.

Reporting to the IT Operations Manager; responsible for designing, migrating, upgrading, configuring, and maintaining Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure and Security throughout the organization. The role will be responsible for escalating Level 2 support for the Global IT Team. It will also lead or assist on IT Projects and perform duties as assigned.

**Some of the things you’ll be doing**:

- Hold safety and environmental protection as a value
- Create and maintain documentation for vessel installation, changes, upgrades and operational maintenance
- Evaluate system architecture, test, root cause, and solution analysis, and make recommendations as required
- Monitors and supports the data centre infrastructure, including VMWare, HyperV, and storage / backup platforms for HPE Nimble, Veeam, and Azure Site Recovery.
- Engage in maintenance and support activities, such as troubleshooting, incident response and vulnerability management.
- Monitors and supports Active Directory and components, including objects, OU’s, Group policies, DNS, DHCP, MDT, WDS and backups.
- In-depth experience with middleware standards and best practices to build a hardened and resilient environment.
- Maintain, monitor and provide support for the IT support team in cybersecurity, security best practices and backup solutions
- Manage and control the IT hardware purchase request, responsible for vessel takeover and handover activities
- Provides out-of-office hours and weekend support as part of the on-call support team
- Provides and meets the Monthly KPIs on vessel ticketing, communication activities and ongoing projects

**What we are looking for**
- Bachelor in Computer Science, IT or equivalent
- Minimum five years deployment of IT system experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems and Applications (Office 365, MS Windows server, Windows 11, Active Directory), Antivirus, network switches, UPS, firewalls, storage/backup and replication systems (Certifications is a plus)
- Knowledge of PowerShell scripting and Python and experience in managing a data centre would be an added advantage.
- Expert in Hyper-V and Remote Desktop Environments with thin clients
- Build servers according to Teekay Standards and best practices.
- Knowledge of IT infrastructure, cloud and communication systems, data cabling, communication and Wi-Fi infrastructure
- Pro-active, dynamic and responsible self-starter with strong customer orientation and multitasking capabilities
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Adaptive to all kinds of working environments
- Effective communication skills, verbal, non-verbal and written; ability to communicate with team members at all levels of the organizations
