**Responsibilities**:

- Explain underwriting decisions and requirements to the sales channels
- Provide service support and liaison for the sales channels, provide guidance to team on case management/channel management
- Assist the sales channels on their queries related to underwriting requirements and underwriting decision
- Liaise with reinsurers on complex cases or refer cases to reinsurer if sum at risk exceeds treaty limits
- Check and sign off underwriting requirement letters and special terms letters prior to release
- To be involved in adhoc duties or projects related to underwriting
- Provide training and development of junior underwriters.
- Responsible for conducting case reviews and providing performance/development reports.
- Supports regulatory and industry reporting to ensure timely and accurate reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead and drive projects as required.
- Responsible for managing team's service standard.

**Qualifications**
- At least a diploma or degree
- A degree in Insurance or Biomedical Science or Life Science would be an added advantage
- At least 8 years of experience in life and health underwriting
- Experience in Singapore life insurance market will be preferred
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Team player with good interpersonal skills
- Committed, take ownership and results-driven
