**Role Purpose**

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Head of People with a strong background in start-ups to join our client’s growing company. As the Head of People, you will be responsible for leading and developing all HR-related functions, including talent acquisition, employee engagement, and performance management. You will play a critical role in shaping our company culture, driving employee satisfaction, and ensuring attracting and retaining top talent.

**Responsibilities**
- Set up and manage the development and implementation of HR strategies and initiatives that support company's goals and values.
- Promote, maintain company values, employee engagement and employee retention across the company.
- Instil and maintain high performance culture across the company, from leaders to members.
- Coordinate talent development - create individual and group solutions (e.g. coaching, training, feedback) that improve capabilities and skills at all levels of the company, including leaders and team members.
- Set up and lead the performance management process, to develop, retain and maintain high performing employees and promote collaboration, performance, and accountability.
- Design organizational structures and career pathways for the team, that encourage effective operations, succession planning, and opportunities for maturing employees.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations, including those related to payroll, benefits, and leave policies
- Build and maintain strong relationships with employees at all levels of the organization, serving as a trusted advisor and resource
- Work with other departments and teams to identify and address HR-related challenges and opportunities
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices, making recommendations to management as needed
- Lead and manage the HR team, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to help them achieve their goals and reach their full potential

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in HR or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in an HR leadership role, with a preference for start-up experience
- Proven record of setting up HR strategies, talent acquisition processes, onboarding processes, performance management process and employee engagement process.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Strategic thinking, problem solving and decision making skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Thorough knowledge of HR best practices and employment laws
- Ability to think strategically and align HR initiatives with business objectives
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
- Passion for creating a positive and supportive work environment for employees
