**About the Job (based in Japan)**

**Government Partnership Management**
- Maintain and develop relationships with state education authorities and any local and international organizations involved in the design and implementation of specialized educational solutions and services to achieve the goals of the IB’s governmental partnerships.
- Provide support to In-Country Educational Consultants and the IB Educators Network (IBEN) members, ensuring smooth collaboration and delivery of services.

**Education system level support**
- Develop proposals for educational solutions in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to respond to needs that emerge as IB’s governmental partnerships.
- Ensure the highest standards of quality assurance in both on-site and virtual delivery of educational solutions and services, aligning with IB's established expectations and benchmarks.

**Project management and stakeholder engagement**
- Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans outlining objectives, deliverables, delivery methods, milestones, budgets, and monitoring and evaluation strategies, including risk and scope management.
- Stakeholder Meetings: Lead regular meetings with both internal and external stakeholders to guide project steering and management, fostering collaborative decision-making.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess and monitor strategic risks and issues related to the projects and inter-projects. Develop and implement strategic risk mitigation and contingency plans.
- Formulate and navigate complex inter-project dependencies, showcasing an advanced understanding of strategic inter-project dynamics.

**Customer needs and data analytics**
- Data-Informed Decision Making: Ensure all decisions related to new projects, partnerships, and initiatives are grounded in comprehensive data analysis, utilizing insights from both internal and external sources to guide strategic directions.

**Team leadership and management**
- Support a team of educational consultants and members of IB Educator Network deployed on the project.
- Create a culture of high performance, continuous learning and improvement within the team.

**About You**
- Educational and Business Development Background: A Bachelor's degree complemented by proven experience in business development within an educational environment. This includes a track record of developing educational services and projects.
- Management and Facilitation: Proven experience in facilitating discussions, communicating effectively, and engaging with high-level representatives from national governments, international organizations, and foundations.Strategic and Outcome-Focused Thinking: Strong strategic thinking capabilities with the ability to convert the IB's strategic visions into practical and achievable outcomes.
- Must be proficient in English and Japanese.
- Interpersonal and Communication Expertise: Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and presentation abilities, both written and verbal, complemented by high professional maturity, a diplomatic approach, and a keen analytical perspective.
- Risk Management Acumen: A solid understanding of business risk, alongside adeptness in devising and implementing effective risk management and mitigation strategies.
- Adaptability and Initiative: Thrives in dynamic environments, demonstrating a proactive approach, the ability to work autonomously, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Technical Proficiency: Highly skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), showcasing a strong command of these essential tools.
