**Overview**: Asia (ex-Japan) Markets is a significant business within the Institutional Clients Group (ICG) and a major contributor to the Net Income of the Asia Region. The Markets business comprises of the following global businesses: Commodities, Equities, FX, Markets Treasury, Rates and Spread Products. The business has a presence across a number of countries in the region. The CAO reports to the Asia Markets Head with a matrix to the Markets CAO. The CAO will manage the regional CAO office and have matrix management responsibilities for global CAO roles. **Responsibilities**: **Supporting Regional business strategy**: - Supporting the Asia (ex-Japan) Markets Head in designing and delivering a coordinated regional strategy - Support design and delivery of Asia (ex-Japan) Markets goals - Support senior external interfaces with Regulators, market data, media and industry groups - Represent the Asia (ex-Japan) Markets franchise throughout Citi - Manage the business review processes - Support partner with other key ICG businesses and Functions such as Banking, TTS, and Private Bank **Leading strong governance and controls**: - Work in close partnership with control functions, second line, third line and regional management, to ensure appropriate governance and control infrastructure and operation - Drive the adoption and operation of the Enterprise Risk Management Framework - Support the delivery of the 2020 Consent Order plan - Ensure regional and legal entity requirements are delivered - Create and leads appropriate governance and controls including a culture of expense management discipline - Support build and maintenance of responsible finance and ethics culture - Partnership with Compliance to lead/support productive interaction and dialogue with regulators - Partnership with Finance to deliver the annual financial planning / budgeting process and business reviews **Human Capital Management**: - Lead the regional Markets CAO people strategy including talent reviews for critical roles - Partner with HR and regional and global CAO Leadership to ensure the people strategy and organizational capabilities are aligned to business strategy - Manage the staffing pyramid and officer title distribution - Support cross-product and CAO oversight and governance of headcount, hiring and workforce planning, redundancy, mobility and diversity initiatives **Experience, skills and capabilities**: - Significant experience in managing large teams and complex activities across an organization - In depth experience of Markets products and risk management - Excellent leadership skills: Successful leadership of a geographically diverse team and broad people management experience. - Successful track record of leading and creating momentum for initiatives - Strategic thinker with ability to translate vision into executable plans - Credibility and gravitas to lead, motivate and influence a diverse population across geographies, products and matrixed reporting lines - Superior interpretive and problem solving skills; pragmatic approach to ensure limited resources are directed appropriately - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to influence and create alignment at senior levels across multiple products, clients, geographies and competing priorities - **Job Family Group**: Business Strategy, Management & Administration - **Job Family**: Business Administration - **Time Type**: Full time - Citi is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.
