**Principal Accountabilities**
- Analyze market prices and trends to identify profitable trading opportunities in both physical commodities and derivatives instruments.
- Execute contracts in both physical commodities and derivative instrument for proprietary trading purposes by way of spot, term contracts, participation in export/import tenders, etc.
- Risk management of the trading book
- Development and preserve strong trading relationship with producers, refineries and traders.
- Identify new trading markets
- Monitor blending and operations for commercial implications and trade economics.
- Keep track and control of costs such as tankage, demurrage and expenditure on blending operations.
- Provide the Management with up to date market intelligence and potential market

direction.
- Monitor physical trade operations and logistics process to ensure smooth execution and delivery of cargo and to identify and resolve any potential issues before loading operation to reduce/prevent additional lay time/cost incurred.
- Daily monitoring of risk exposure and work closely with Mid Office (Risk) to ensure accurate and timely update of pricing profile into trading system for accurate pricing risk hedging.
- Work closely with Credit team to ensure Company interest with each counterparty's credit risk is protected
- Work closely with Contracts team to ensure Company interest is protected through proper sales/purchase agreements.
- Ultimately responsible for ensuring that both company and the counterparties of each and every contract owned perform all obligations and liabilities under the trade contract.
- Manage and develop client relationships and provide regional focus/liaison.
- Comply strictly with the Trading Mandate or any other Management directive

**Minimum Requirements**
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 4-5 years of relevant front office experience in Petroleum products trading.
- Good knowledge of areas such as: quality, logistics, risk management, and contracts terms and conditions.
- Proven track record of profitable trading
- Strong existing network of relevant contacts including producers and end users
- Relevant experience in oil markets dealing with the main product end users.
- Strong and deep knowledge of Middle East and Far East Markets
- Experience in developing trade strategies including spreads and arbitrage
